Hotel Spitzberg  

We thought we got an exceptional double room deal for a very comfortable hotel (€58.50), with an early and comprehensive breakfast included for an early train departure (less than 10 mins walk from train station). It would still be a really good deal at €80.

The same deal or even €80 is often not available! Sometimes rooms are much more expensive.

Location near the city centre, kind staff.

I think we were fortunate to get a large room which was very spacious indeed. The minibar prices were very reasonable. The hotel is also very near to a bus stop and the buses run till after 11 pm every day.

Breakfast was ok for the price but not exceptional. It would perhaps have been nice if the hotel had a bar as it can be nice for a nightcap or as a place to meet if travelling in a group.

Hotel is small and very nice, we came here for the second time. Staff were very helpfull and nice. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

Very nicely fitted out, clean, excellent service

Good breakfast buffet, short walk to the train station and all of the sights in the old town area. The young lady at the desk in the evening was awesome. All in all it was a very good experience.

Air conditioning would be nice

Garage car park very intimidating and tight underground and rather expensive. As a result of this managed to leave small case on floor while extricating vehicle from "space".Then staff exhibited reluctance to forward case, AT OUR EXPENSE, to our next hotel. They did so after pushing from the new hotel.Thank you. Credit card details were forwarded, but we still don't have any kind of receipt!

To park a car at hotel requires extrem precision(even for people used to narrow Europaen conditions)

The overall impression was of a well run hotel. Our bedroom and bathroom were extremely clean, the breakfast room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. Perhaps if I was allowed a little moan, I am a short woman and found the plates, bowls and the brown bread roll basket a little out of my reach. But it is a very small moan and my husband was with me to reach them down for me, and it's difficult, in retrospect, to see where else they could be stored, perhaps by the fruit juices. Cherry Tugby

Very clean room, great size, friendly staff and a good breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, even though I don't speak German, and I needed my daughter to translate for me. I was glad most of the staff spoke English. The hotel was very quiet and comfortable, and every morning a delicious breakfast was served.

Es machte den Eindruck eines Familienhotels und man fühlte sich sehr wohl dort. Man hatte den Eindruck das Hotel arbeitet fast ausschließlich zum Wohle des Gastes.. Das Frühstück war super und man spuerte die Liebe und die Freude, die darauf verwendet wurde es anzurichten. Wir waeren gerne auf der Rueckfahrt noch einmal in den Genuss gekommen, aber es war schon ausgebucht.
