This 4-star Superior hotel is in the spa resort of Oberorke, in the southern Sauerland region. It offers a large wellness area with indoor and outdoor swimming pool, and free private parking. The partly renovated, non-smoking rooms feature a TV, and a minibar, and special rooms are available for people travelling with pets. Bathrooms are en-suite and a bathrobe is provided. The large spa area at the Hotel Freund includes 5 saunas, 2 swimming pools, a fitness room and a sunbathing lawn. Massages and Ayurvedic treatments are also available. Hotel Freund is popular for hiking and cycling breaks here in the Kellerwald national park. There are riding stables beside the hotel, and free mountain bikes can be rented on site. De organisatie tijdens het verblijf De organisatie na vertrek toen bleek dat we iets vergeten waren. Na 4 telefoontjes kregen we eindelijk reactie dat het gevonden was. Was een beetje een domper na de plezierige ervaring

Vriendelijkheid en gedienstigheid van het personeel. Sauna infrastructuur. Aanduiding "Tip" op de rekeningen. beter prijzen iets verhogen en "Tip included" aangeven. Het is niet fijn dat we tijdens onze vakantie moeten bezig zijn met "geld".

Das Hotel Freund besticht durch ein ausgesprochen freundliches und serviceorientiertes Personal, die Lage ist traumhaft und perfekt zum Nordic Walking und Moutainbiking geeignet. Das Wellness-Angebot ist herausragend und geht weit über das übliche Standardangebot hinaus. Der Sauna-Bereich ist sehr ansprechend, Getränke stehen kostenfrei zur Verfügung und die Entspannungs- bzw. Ruhebereiche sind sehr gemütlich. Insbesondere die persönliche Begrüßung und Ansprache durch die Hotelleitung und die Aufnahme unserer Rückmeldung zu möglichen Optimierungspotentialen hat uns vollends von diesem Wellness-Hotel überzeugt. Wir werden dieses Hotel in jedem Fall weiterempfehlen.

Wir haben eine Nacht und zwei Tage in diesem Hotel verbracht und waren begeistert. Die Mitarbeiter sind durchweg freundlich, der Service war perfekt, die Zimmer wunderschön, der Spa Bereich fantastisch, das Essen sehr lecker. Der Aufenthalt war sehr entspannend und wir würden immer wieder kommen. Das Badezimmer hat leider keine "richtigen" Türen, sondern lediglich Milchglasschiebetüren, die weder blickdicht noch schalldicht sind. In Anbetracht der Tatsache, dass ansonsten alles perfekt ist, kann man über die Türen getrost hinwegsehen.

Ruhige und gediegene Atmosphäre mit gut ausgebildetem Personal Kleiner Schönheitsfehler: Das Schwimmbad konnte entgegen der im Prospekt angegeben Uhrzeit (ab 07.00 Uhr) erst um 07.30 Uhr nach merhmaligem klopfen an der Tür betreten werden.

This lovely hotel/spa is in a beautiful location in rural Germany. The rooms are spacious and have all modern amenities as well as very comfortable beds. Each room has a veranda so you can sit and relax outside. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have experienced anywhere; the croissants are especially heavenly. Service is excellent, friendly and efficient. There was nothing to dislike. The only thing that was less than perfect was the dinner buffet, which was much less extensive than the breakfast buffet and didn't offer many vegetarian options.
