Score from 1126 reviews Excellent
Closeness to Sbahn and Ubahn systems and Marienplatz
Getting to hotel Frequent traffic
Super great location just next to underground and main junction for tram and walking distance to main travel attractions of munich
A bit noisy as it is on main road
The hotel is 150 metres from the old town gates. We were able to easily explore the centre of the city. Overall we were very pleased and would go back again.
The computerised "key" can be a little tricky and the breakfast room was too warm, (not much to complain about!!)
The Hotel is in a good location, a few minutes walk to the railways and transportation. It's also an easy walk to good restaurants and the many downtown attractions. The staff was excellent always giving us good directions, restaurants, air and train information. The AM breakfast was also very good with a fine variety of foods. The room was clean and comfortable.
The room faced the street which can be noisy at times. It would be more worth the value if the breakfast was included in the price.
We had a quite space in the room. Especially with the baby cot in it the room was spacy enough. We liked the renovated bathroom and room furniture. The breakfast was satisfactory as well. Another best thing is the U-bahn distance. There is almost no distance at all :)
Finding out there is not a mini refrigrator in the room was a little disappointing. Also in the renovated bathroom we were looking for a few cloth and towel hangers. The price was a little too high but this is probably also related to the coincidance with the Oktoberfest. Nonetheless the non-Oktoberfest nights could be a more economic.
Location was excellent, very near the Munich Hbf. Also near the main shopping mall and the Old Town. They were within 3 - 5 minutes of walking. A walk to the Hof Garten and the Englischergarten would take about 10- 15 mins. Breakfast had a good spread too. Cereal with seeds and nuts, fresh cut fruit, yoghurt, juice, scrambled eggs and bacon and sausages, and cold cuts and cheeses.
Bedroom was small and cramped. No air-conditioning. If you opened the window for better airing, you got the street noise from below right into the early hours of the morning. The bed was very soft, as were the pillows. Bathroom was very small and cramped and there was no shelving anywhere to place the soap and shampoo. Also no place to hang clothes. The hotel could have been more generous with shampoo and soap. When a person showers twice a day, one sachet is not sufficient. Directions to the hotel from the Main station. These could have been supplied on your web-site. The route is actual very simple and straightforward but Bing maps gave me a rather confusing and convoluted route, as a result of which it took me took nearly half an hour to locate your hotel on my initial arrival.
Central location 10-15 min walk to Oktoberfest Right on top of Train station, restaurants and shops. Very convenient. Friendly staff Modern lobby area Clean rooms
I know it was peak season but for 240 Euro/night... no wifi access at all even in lobby is ridiculous for a hotel. Even B&Bs have wifi. Had to use free wifi from cafe next door. No air conditioning (which we were lucky it was not hot A tiny TV and that's it really. Only stayed here for Oktoberfest but wouldn't recommend otherwise.
I had easy access to the train, Oktoberfest and old town
No fridge or coffee maker
The location of this hotel was excellent - close to the train station and Marian Platz. The staff were very helpful and the room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was also very good.
The room had no air conditioning. They had an upright fan available but air conditioning would have been better. They also did not change the sheets for 4 days, which was not good. Otherwise, they did clean the room daily and replace towels.
Nice and clean small hotel, close to train, underground (U) connection and walking distance to the city downtown. Breakfast buffet was good, 10 €/day, and WiFi in the hotel was not free but only cost 1 €/day.
All hotels in Munich were really pricey during those days. Hotel Stachus was also expensive but no so much as most of the others. It is located at a kind of busy street [between Karlsplatz (Stachus) and München Hauptbahnhof (Cental Station)], so it can be noisy with the window open. Also, I have to make a long, nearly 1 hour, but local phone call from my room because of a flight cancellation and they charged about 10 €.
Susanna was very helpful.
Rooms were very small
Room cleanliness, comfortable beds and central location.
Somewhat abrupt and unhelpful reception staff , lack of facilities in the room like rails for towels and drawers for clothes as well as no hooks.
Close to various tourist areas
Loud, not great facilities, no wifi
They were extremely rude and unhelpful
Central location Great breakfast WIFI Firendly and helpful staff
No laundry service
beds comfortable (although very small); windows that opened; good water pressure in shower; one friendly staff member (other not so); great location.
quite pricey compared to other hotels; rooms very small - even by European standards; room was clean but carpet dirty/stained; reception staff friendly - all except one woman who was downright grumpy (well, it was the night after oktoberfest maybe she partied too hard!)
size of room Very small for the price We also had a very unpleasant situation in which our friend, a single man, was given an extremely small room which was completely unsatisfactory.
Large comfortable rooms & beds, very helpful staff. Central location.
Location was great
Cost and the quality of rooms was poorer than poor. It was obvousily a money making situation and the staff was not flexible. I will dispute my payment there.
Location Breakfast Staff
All aspects of the breakfast (staff, room and food)
The appalling decor in the room (all grey or off white with no pictures or other colour). The cheap quality of the sparce room furniture. No air conditioning giving the need to keep the window open all night and suffer city centre noise.
Located near the main train station and the Underground. Easy walking distance to Oktoberfest ground. Staff were very helpful and willing to give advice and look up information about attractions. Good breakfast (12 euro)
No ventilation in room so window had to be open which is not good on a major tram route. With window closed, the trams are very quiet but on a hot night, what do you do?? Prices are very high for Oktoberfest!!!
The location to the hotel
room very small, no space arround bed (100 cm)! room very expensive
Only the location
The manadger was so rude, poor room quality and furniture
