Extremely friendly staff and excellent breakfast.

Bathroom although very clean, was a bit basic.

Hotel Stadt Mainz is very friendly. We had good advice about what to see and how to get there, including the latest news about how to avoid a demonstration in town. Some of the staff speak English and French.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very nice. The location was very good with a short walk to the town square. Our room was neat and clean. We would stay there again.

The staff was fantastic and gave us a warm welcome, carried our bags, showed us where to park, and gave us a tour of the city on a map. It was the warmest welcome I have had to a hotel.

The owner went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and he was extremely informative of what to see and where to eat. The breakfast was the largest buffet we have had on our trip through Germany.

A very large breakfast, however without eggs... The restaurant which was once very famous had been closed down. The hotel's website however didn't mention this fact!

Clean and Comfortable, the BEST breakfast at a hotel I have ever had (gourmet cheeses, 8 types of meats, salmon, vegetables, ect.) Very friendle staff, cute hotel in great location! Great price as well. Parking is avaliable very close, no elevator, but its worth it!

Rooms are v basic and small and not v charming, but fine if you just go there to sleep. Reception staff OK but not particularly welcoming.

Location was very central and close to many of the city's attractions.

No fan, and staying on the upper level made it difficult to cool down the room.

Wonderful to stay in a place that has been putting up visitors since 1430. Don't come here if you're looking for 21st century mod-cons, 5 star luxury & corporate hotel-style comforts. Do come if you're into huge breakfasts, local quality and a warm & personal welcome - an old- style, small European hotel. We were very happy - large room on 2nd floor (long stairs, but they helped with our luggage), basic but ok bathroom & good location, easy walking distance from Residenz and historic centre. Wifi worked fine. Burgerspital restaurant (no connection, but nearby) at the end of the road is stunning. Great breakfast with local meats, fish, cheese & delicious home-made jams - and you want need to eat till dinner-time... We loved it!

Long stairs (particularly as I am disabled!). High step into smallish shower.

It was within walking distance to city center and tourist areas. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful for first time visitors to the area. They had parking (additional charge), but it was good to get the car off the city street, and I didn't need to worry about where it was left. They were kind enough to lock up our luggage after checkout during our last day sightseeing, and let us keep the car parking spot until the end of the day when we left town.

A bit noisy next to the city street. The street activity went on until about midnight, which was hard on the kids (and parents).

Old-fashined German gasthof with lots of character. Great location for looking around historic Wurzburg. Franconian regional breakfast was a wonder to behold.

Rooms at the front look over a main street. Might be a bit noisy for some people. Decor and furnishings a bit 'tired'.

Location was good, private parking although not onsite, Cold breakfast buffet was excellent. Quirky and lovely old building

More of a guesthouse than hotel and rooms a bit dated but we like this sort of character so not a problem.

Simple but very sufficient for a relaxing trip. Style of a family-run business while serving hotel-style breakfast buffet. It is about 10 min walk to Residenz.

There is no lift and lifting luggage up the stairs could be a problem if the luggage is heavy and bulky. Staff is helpful with the luggage transfers though.

Just like the city of Würzburg, this is a very old hotel. Don't expect a design hotel and what you will get is a family run old centrally located simple tavern style hotel with good food a very nice and helpful staff and a landlady who knows her way around town.

Like almost everything about this hotel. It has its spirit and atmosphere. Very reach and tasty breakfast. Lots of home made dishes, meat etc. Very polite and gentle stuff. I’ve been treated like a queen! Perfect location just near all city marks, shops and a railway station. My room was very quiet with no noises from a street.

The interior is a little bit worn off, no minibar at the room.

Удивительный интерьер!Одни старые печурки на этажах многого стоят,и только стены в столовой можно разглядывать пол часа. Прекрасный завтрак.А какая сырная тарелка! До центра 5 минут ходьбы. В Вюрцбурге надо прожить 2-3 дня.

Wir waren mit dem Hotel und dem freundlichen und zuvor- kommenden Personal sowie mit dem reichhaltigen Frühstück sehr zufrieden.

Dass man im Hotel ausser Frühstück nichts zu essen bekam.

Fernseher miserabel, nur 3 Kanäle Zimmer zur Strasse sehr sehr laut

Bekam, wie gewünscht, ein ruhiges Zimmer. Außerdem: Sehr freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstücksbüffet (u. a. frisches Obst und Käse am Stück statt vertrockneten Scheibenkäses). Und: Zum Bahnhof sind es zu Fuß keine 10 Minuten. Gerne wieder!
