Score from 401 reviews Very good
the lovely old building and close to the shopping areas
the stair case to the rooms, and noise from the other people uses them. the rooms are small and very tried.
Location was great.
Couldn't eat dinner at hotel the nights we stayed. It was in the days after Christmas so maybe it was posted but I didn't see it. I wanted to like this hotel but that just didn't happen.
hotel close to the city center on foot
very small window and no lift to the 3rd floor
This hotel is quiet, the food is good and people are very nice.the room condition is acceptable and the bed is comfortable. In the old-fashion canteen with delicious traditional German food -cheeses,hams,prickles etc, I enjoy it. At last, Pls take their recommendations of the gourmet restaurants nearby, it's a really great experience , it will help you to know more about this city ,the wine and people living here.
Personable, helpful owners
Room spacious, wooden decor, traditional style, mismatch the carpet flooring. Location central. Staff friendly and helpful.
Bed mattress hard.
never seen so wide choice for a breakfast, helpful staff
noisy crowd across the street, the stairs to carry a suitcase
Good location for station and town. Breakfast spread was wide ranging and excellent quality although I would have liked the offer of some hot food, perhaps eggs. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very quaint traditional decor in the hotel generally.
Bathroom needs serious updating and pillows were terrible - far too soft even with two! We visited in October so the temperature was fine but I would not recommend the summer as there is no air con. Chose this hotel partly because of reference to food awards but restaurant was closed.
The location was excellent for exploring the city on foot.
The rooms/bathrooms urgently need updating. We were disappointed that the hotel does not provide food other than breakfast.
The location was good, the staff were helpful, and the breakfast offered a large selection of choices.
There was no elevator, which isn't so bad, except when carrying luggage up the stairs for 4 flights.
Nice people. Convenient. Traditional decor. Good breakfast.
You have to have a key to get out of the iron door, this is a fire safety concern.
No lift, & no tea making facility
Close proximity to to attractions and food was excellent. Friendliness of staff!!
Lady owner wonderful, her "helper" male was informative about places to go, good location - minutes to train station and old town, best breakfast choices I've seen.
Very small room
Easy walking distance to old city and train station.
The staff wasn't as friendly as we had experienced at other hotels in Germany. We felt a bit like an inconvenience to them.
Convenient location. Good choice of food for breakfast, but milk had gone off.
Was given a room on the top floor and there was no elevator. Guests should be warned about this and asked if they can manage those tall flights of stairs. Light, especially in the bathroom, very dark. The restaurant of the hotel was advertised, but was not available that evening.
He was very demeaning when we pointed out our room was 3rd story up and no elevator. He said we paid too cheap so why are we complaining. We do not book by cheap we do like booking. Com and we did not get the room we chose as pictured on our email. When we book with you your company usually gets us great rooms but these people stuck us way up with no elevator and my hubby is 77 yrs old and quite frail
3rd floor no elevator and teo twin beds lined up along the wall lengthwise not even side by side and.very uncomfortable
The room was basic and on the third floor without a lift but the staff were friendly and the breakfast was truly wonderful!
Staff very helpful, lots of useful advice regarding what to see where to go and good restaurants. Breakfast spread was more than comprehensive. Good understanding of GF
Parking was 80 metres away ( it was raining otherwise this wouldn't have been an inconvenience
One of the oldest buildings still offering hotel/bed & breakfast. Short walk to the Old City center. Good breakfast. Private parking. Nice café and a pub on the opposite side of the street open 'till 3 AM.
Only basis B&B service. Restaurant not open during the day or evening. No big problem really with all the cafés and bar open along the street.
Excellent hosts and service, great breakfast
The hosts welcome
Great location, close to the rail station, really nice people, helpful and friendly. Also, lots of Old World charm and atmosphere. Breakfast was fantastic! Room was clean and attractive.
Our only issue was with the noisy biergartens and English pub across the street. As it was very warm, we had to have the windows open and the noise was bad. Ask for a room off the front or go in cooler weather.
personable staff and good location
