LOCATION - FOR RAIL AND ROAD.
BIT FAR FOR THE "10 MINUTE" WALK TO THE OLD TOWN SINGLE ROOM (FOR SON) WAS EXTREMELY SMALL
Good location for the station, about a 5-8 minute walk and within 15 minutes you can be in the Old Town. We were visiting as we were going to a football game in Dortmund
Good Parking Space
No AC in the Room
Location Sparkling cleanliness Reasonable staff Facilities Breakfast
Every things was good about it.
reichhaltiges, grosszügiges Frühstück
The location of the hotel is really good!
The room service came too early
Exactly in downtown Dusseldorf (close to Konigsallee). The room is big a very comfortable with a good style decoration as a whole hotel renovated 2 years ago. Breakfast is more then simply good, wide choise and high quality products. Very styled dining room. Perfect.
Location, cleanliness, friendly staff & Wi-Fi
Standard Room does not have air conditioner. I was not aware about this.
the hotel and the staff is very good and helpful
the bathroom mainly the toilet seat is not at all comfortable. it actually pinches your
Breakfast was fantastic
Friendly staff, clean room, quiet at night. All was well.
It is not clear how to use wifi - there was no directions to the room and at the reception on arrival was not explained.
When a bottle of beer accidently fell down and broke in the elevator, first, the night portier tried to charge us 50 euros for cleaning up, however, in the morning during our check-out the staff tried to press out 3000 euro(!) reasoning that the hotel needs to change the elevator's floor. When we refused to pay, they called the police. After the story was solved, no apologies were given by the hotel, the staff (very rude before) simply disappeared. "Excellent" service!
Very helpful pleasant staff in every department. Breakfast ----grade 5
The room layout very good, happy and jolly staff. Very happy to help. The kitchen staff very polite and lovely. Breakfast can't be faulted. Close to the station.
Position breakfast immaculately clean
Hard to get wifi on phone apple
Friendly an defficient staff. Marvellous early breakfast.
Rooms fairly basic.
Stayed just one night (4th august 14) in the best room they had available. it was in a good location close to the old city / shopping street restaurants etc. Hotel was a reasonable one. Nice welcome. Clean rooms. good breakfast
We just stayed one night and as we had to travel the next day booked a reasonable 4 star close to old city. That is what we found and hotel was fine as expected. We had a good comfortable stay until we had to check out which was a disaster. Check out is at 12 which was fair enough. After 11:30 we started getting calls every 5-10 mins to check out by some lady at reception. Told her my child is taking a shower and we are packing and will be down shortly. At 11:55 she sent someone uptairs to tell us to leave / check out. Told him we are doing it. At 12 she called again. I told her we are almost done and we will be down in 5-10 mins. She said no there are no 10 mins and we have to leave now???? I was shocked and my wife was extremely upset, rightly so. I travel almost every month for work and often for holidays and stay at 5 star or sometimes 4 star hotels every few weeks. I have never ever been through something like this. The lady definately needs some serious hotel management training. How can you talk to a guest like this and tell them you don't 10 mins??All this time I was extremely polite with her.
Clean and ok place to stay the night
Geluid van straat om de hoek zeer luid; geen airco dus met open ramen behoorlijk wat lawaai.
The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The hotel itself immaculate and clean. The location ideal - close to the train station, shopping area and old town. Would definitely consider staying there again on my next trip to Düsseldorf.
Some tea/ coffee making facilities or complimentary bottles of water would have been welcomed.
The only 2 good things about this hotel was the close proximity to the central train station and the 10 euro breakfast.
We reserved a junior suite (the most expensive room) and after checking in the front desk clerk came to our room to show us how to turn on the a/c and proclaimed "I am sorry, this is one of the rooms with no a/c" OMG - that was not stated on the Booking.com website - we were sweltering up there on the top floor. Don't expect an ice machine and the front desk has very little to give out, only a cup full!!!! The bathroom had no soap or shampoo and there is no clock radio. Also the "large double bed" that was advertised was a sub-standard pull out sofa - so bad that they had to put a foam topper on the middle section for our daughter to sleep on. They have sauna/steam rooms, but they open it after 6pm and there is also a pathetic fountain that gurgles because it needs repair... The work out room has no towels, water, or phone (hello, what if there is a cardiac arrest emergency?) There are no mats or free weights or sanitizer. I have stayed all over Europe and this was a one-star at best although Booking.com rates it a 4 star - how can that be??????
