Score from 1276 reviews Very good
We stayed 3 full days and enjoined every second there. The location is just a few meters from the center walking zone, the stuff is very friendly and helpful for everything I needed and more, the breakfast ... SUPER! plus the organic products the hotel serves. BEST value for the 3* hotel The rooms are not that big, but comfortable and has a minibar with cable TV.
The WiFi is VERY, VERY slow... and the Parking costs are 10Euro per night, which is quite expensive comparing the outside parking zones are 9Euro per day. The single elevator is very old and seems to be stuck in a near future.
Within 5 minutes walk of center of old town. Easy to reach find. Parking on site. Quite neighbourhood. Restaurant on site but others just round the corner
No AC, but the fan was sufficient. I had spotty WiFi connection in room, but pc in main lobby worked fine.
Make sure you get a room at the hotel's backside. The roadside is quite noisy.
Location, location, location.
A bit pricey, staff were not overly friendly, though some were very helpful, amenities were not great but not horrible either.
The Staff was excellent. Close to innerstadt and restaurants, Munster Cathedral etc. Stadtgarten (excellent park for the kids) just a block away when they need to run around and play. If you will stay long, the extra large (or deluxe) rooms are good for a family.
Breakfast was ok but not great especially for the price, however the kids ate free.
Nonworking internet during my stay Parking limited, late arrival with high chance with request to find different parking
The room was very very small, no air conditioning and charged for breakfast, also the shower had a smelly drain
The location was amazing, almost center city, close to shopping, restaurants and parks/city greens for the kids to play or for walking and hiking. The room we stayed in was huge, which was good for a family of four looking for space to relax at the end of a long day sightseeing and shopping. We skipped breakfast in the hotel, and found a very nice local cafe/bakery about four doors up the street. Good homemade sandwiches, waffles... etc
The beds were not the most comfortable, and the facilities left a little to be desired. These were not huge issues though, as we spent 90% of the time outside of the hotel. The bigger issue was some of the staff, specifically the desk staff. Not the most friendly or welcoming or helpful, and not what I would have expected for the price paid. There were some members who were extremely helpful, but overall they just did not make you feel welcome.
Breakfast, shower, location and staff.
Rooms were very warm, no airconditioning or ventilation in the bathroom. Hotel smells like the restaurant due to lack of fresh air.
- good service and friendly staff - public parking available nearby - great location for shopping and sightseeing
- breakfast seemed unreasonably expensive for 20 €
Very clean and comfortable
fantastic experience ,the owner of the hotel was so kind to me ,so so nice
No ,it's perfect
Quiet, close to old town and shopping street, hill, forest, park. Variable, fresh and tasty breakfast. Staff (except room service) is friendly and helpful
Breakfast could be cheaper than 14,5 euro. Room service should be not upon request for that price of the room. Wi-fi in the rooms really sucks. In the lobby could be faster as well
Excellent location - close to the main attractions and within reasonable distance from the trains station (about 8 euro taxi ride).
The price was rather high, possibly due to our trip falling on the long weekend. Also, we would have preferred a real double bed rather than two single beds put together.
It was a good around hotel
a little bit old fashioned, but good.
Room standard good for 3 star hotel. Easy 5 minute walk to old town and shopping area. A bit expensive for what it is.
An absolute parking nightmare. Local on street parking almost impossible until after 7pm. Local multi-story possible but expensive and some closed after 8pm Sat night until Monday morning. Hotel parking limited to just a few cars, not reservable and a very abrupt receptionist gave me the distinct impression that they were only available to guests who book direct. If vehicle security is an important part of your hotel choice, do not choose this one.
The hotel is right in the city centre, with all the attractions just a few minutes' walk away. We got a free upgrade, i. e. Deluxe instead of Standard Double Room. The room and especially bathroom were really chique.
My parents, however, only got a regular standard room on the ground floor, and that was just decent (rather outdated furniture, stained carpets, coffee maker not properly working etc.). The parking was really uncomfortable and troublesom - too little room and risk of damage.
Very clean. Location was very convenient, close to everything. Looking at the map, I thought it eould take longer, but it just took less than 5 mins to get to Munsterplatz. We didn't get the chance to try the breakfast but everything else was very good. I loved the simple modern design of the rooms. Next time I'm in Freiburg, I would probably stay here.
Cleanness High signal Wi-fi Tasty Breakfast Modern room
Availability of Andecks beer.
Quirky electronic key entry system, steop down toget into room (a potential hazard) and leaky shower doors with no sponge, etc. to sop up the mess.
The scenic city, cathedral, the quaint squares -- all easily accessible from the hotel.
The spotless bathroom, the excellent breakfast, the friendly staff, the parking facility
