Stadthotel Wittenberg  

Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely rooms. We stayed in room 208 which has a nice view of the tower of the Schloß Kirche. If you ever go to Wittenberg, this is the place to stay.

Nothing everything was wonderful!!

The hotel was clean and conveniently located. Breakfast was reasonable and plentiful. The bathroom was modern and quite large

There was a bit of noise from the street at night.

Missing personal touch

I had a single room, and it was very large and very clean. I was very happy with this. Parking was free which was great, and my son brought his very large dog with him; and that was free as well. Free wi-fi also. All of these little extras add up to money saved.

The beds were not really terribly comfortable, but it was no big problem. Also, when I checked out the cost of two rooms for two nights was 5 Euro more than on my contract from Booking.com. I don't know why, but it was such a small amount that I didn't want to argue about it. We were only saving 10 Euro on our rate by booking this way, and this extra 5 Euro wiped out half of that!

Stadthotel Schwarzer Baer is well located in the historic centre of Wittenberg, with all main sites within easy walking distance. Rooms spacious, clean and comfortable, and staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast is additional to the room rate but great value. No hesitation in recommending.

It was right next to the marketplatz. Which is very nice for checking out the Martin Luther sights. It was very clean. There is an elevator which was great as we had our 90 year old mother with us. The German style breakfast was very good and they even brought us a big pot of coffee.

It was a pretty noisy. The noise issue is not the fault of the hotel. But can be annoying though. The Germans love to stay out late drinking and singing football songs (very loudly). And the churches in Wittenberg do not shut off the bells and will ring on the hour all night long.

Great location and very comfortable room. Room was big and bright, corner room on the back of building. free parking in secure lot. Restaurant next door was superb, I think owned by same people. Staff was friendly and breakfast was great!

The hotel is just steps off the main square in the Old Town; so the majority of attractions are very close by.

The rooms were great. The service wonderful. The location was great. We were right on the "Luther mile" between the Castle Church and the City Church. The price was more than fair. We loved our stay there.

This hotel is in the perfect location for discovering the sites in the city.

No one spoke English at this hotel, therefore they could not assist with any siteseeing questions.

Location, location,location and free car parking and wifi

The location was excellent. Saturday night there was a band concert on the square that we could see and hear out the windows. It was wonderful!

Great location in the pedestrian area. We had an amazing corner room (208) with two big windows and plenty of space. We had a view of the castle church tower out one of our windows. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a nice size. Very clean. The staff was friendly and there is a great restaurant right across the street. Free parking inside a gate in the back of the hotel was great. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Die sehr gute Lage des Hotels in der Wittenberger Altstadt. Eine ideale Anbindung bei Anreise mit dem Zug. Das freundliche, hilfsbereite Service-Personal. Die attraktive Hotelausstattung mit hellen, modern hergerichteten Zimmern. Ein gutes Frühstücksbuffet.

Hier passt alles. Supernettes und zuvorkommendes Personal, sehr sauberes, modernes Zimmer mit äußerst geschmackvoller Einrichtung, das Frühstück reichhaltig, appetitlich und abwechslungsreich. Die Lage mitten in der Stadt ist perfekt. Wir würden dieses Hotel immer wieder wählen.

Nur eine Kleinigkeit: die Steine zwischen Parkplatz und Hoteleingang machen das Befahren mit einem Rollkoffer unmöglich. Dort wäre ein Weg vorteilhaft.

Das reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet für schlappe € 5,- pro Person und Nacht verdient besondere Erwähnung. Insgesamt Klasse für Radwanderer!

Die Lage des Hotels im Zentrum ist prima. Sehr angenehm, dass das Kartoffelhaus gleich im Haus ist. (Kann man sehr empfehlen!) Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Zimmer groß und hell und sehr sauber. Ein ganz großes Dankeschön für das ausgezeichnete, vielfältige und frische Frühstücksangebot!
