The breakfast was good, The staff was excellent, the internet is included, and walking distance to the center of Cologne and the central station in less than 10 minutes. Although I traveled alone the bathroom was too small, and the good sight that in the description the hotel is supposed to have of the Dom is is completely false, I stayed in the third floor and I could only see the last section of the towers, like 5 meters or something because just in front there are many buildings. The windows are very high, even for people 6 feet tall, and I felt claustrophobic. |

Excellent central location/ near train station and Cathedral. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Our room looked over the street, so it was a bit noisy. Our friends had a room looking over the back and said it was very quiet. |

Staff friendly. Breakfast good. Quite near main railway station and cathedral (10 minutes walk). Nice big attic room, with pleasant view of nearby church. Attic room, though big, of somewhat odd layout. Bathroom not entirely convenient to use (bath/shower layout poor). Room located on 4th floor, up flight of stairs - bad if you have heavy luggage, as we did. Tv programme did not include any English channel (E.G. no bbc or cnn). Hotel situated on busy main road. |

The breakfast meat was great with much variety. The noise from the street can be loud. Although closing the window is a solution, yet for a small room to have fresh air, I prefer not have to shut the window during sleep. |

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, very clean, close to main station, Dom and commercial sites. Wireless internet speed was very slow (Skype calls not possible). Pay TV channels are not clearly marked, so if you only browse them you get a bill for this. However the receptionist cancelled it without any comment on my request at the checkout. |

We stayed overnight on way back to UK from Norway by rail. Proximity to BNHF was priority - five minutes walk ideal. We were looking for comfortable / affordable hotel and our expectations were met. We would stay again in similar circumstances. Busy city road outside bedroom window - didn't disturb us at night though. |

Pleasant service. An attrqactive common area for guests - the bar. . Proximity to the centre.I had just stayed at the Berkhotel in Zutphen Holland also recommended by you and in the same pric range. Star am Dom was as good as the Berk was disappointing. |

The staff was fantastic. They went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The hotel has an excellent location, near local transportation, and right behind the Cologne Cathedral. I would definately stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone. Excellent value! |

very helpful staff at all times. Reception went out of way to help on any slight thing, even lending an umbrella personally at one point. Knew area and recommended trains and transport accurately. Internet wireless was intermittent which meant one had to go to bar to connect at odd times. Fix this and I would definitely stay regularly, and will definitely return anyway as the service on everything else was so good. |
