Standard hotel, very central in town - which makes it quite attractive. The staff was always very kind. Unfortunately it was not possible to enter the room on arrival (15hours!). Therefore we went into town - later on we had two separate beds in our room and it was not possible to change that - because we were too late for that... Given that 15hours is already late for check-in, it seemed quite unprofessional to me, that no room with queensizebed was available (given the size of the hotel quite weird) when we asked of it was possible to change the room. So to us it seemed as a lottery: we could have better waited besides reception to enter the best room - and that does not seem adequate to me given the standard the hotel wants to sell. |

I absolutly enjoyed my stay at the Steigenberger Hotel Hamburg. It was easy to find very central. Staf were very heplful providing a map and lots of information without even asking for it. Room was perfect and got my pillows changed the minute I asked. I would love to stay there again. |

Good location next to all sights and scenery Check in after 3pm. I was on a very early red yey flight to Hamburg and arrived at the hotel at 9 to be told that check in was after 3pm which I knew but usually it's possible to organise something earlier, not here, I got in finally at 2pm, quite tired! In saying all that the staff did the best they could, hotel was obviously close to full. |

Good location for business and shopping A peculiar means of connecting to Wifi, some third party provider which I couldn't fathom out. It's a pity the cost of the hotel did not include free internet access! |

- excellent, freindly staff + good location 1-the air condition was horrible, we had to change the room but still was very bad and hot 2- we booked two rooms (one for us and one for our children)the complementary fruit and water were given only to one room |

Everything was perfect! The location is just the right one if you are coming to Hamburg for shopping or sightseeing. When we made check- in we were given the single room instead of the double, but the room was changed in 5 minutes without any troubles and we even have got some small extras:) There is S-Bahn close to the hotel, but if you do not open the window, you practically do not hear it and... No swimming pool and the expensive parking ( about 20 euro per day) |

Only complaint was some confusion about the breakfast policy. We were not aware that we were having the more costly breakfast. I guess staff assumed we knew or would figure it out. |
