Radisson Blu Badischer Hof Hotel

Heating didn`t work in our room on arrival (winter time!!!), the problem was fixed only on the next day.

I liked the overall feel of the hotel and was impressed by the large hall leading to the breakfast room.

The pool and spa are very important to me, my reason for staying there, atmosphaire isalso great, staff very friendly and the dining area with access to the gardens are just lovely.

No rules in swimm and spa area, too many kids jumping all over, television in wrong corner, phone service the worst. Not enough housekeeping staff to keep a cleaner room and around the lobby area. Smoking room downstairs too dark.

The hotel was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and overall the facilities were extremely good. It is obvious that the recent refurbishment has been very successful and the hotel looked like new. I hope this goes on the website because I looked at the website before I booked and was worried by the comments. I feel that recent comments have not reflected the improvements caused by the refurbishment.

Waiting times at the reception desk could be improved.

Freindly staff, helpful and polite. The hotel was as described on Booking.com so there were no nasty supprises. Central location with easy reach of city centre.

beautiful architecture: old staircase, breakfast handling, near to the center and concert hall, good for jogging in the morning, beautiful ocation

poor service at arrival, poor room-service, litter not propperly removed, hotel is in a poor, run-down state (not corresponding to ****class and therefore too expensive), and has to be thoroughly restaured, especially Spa/Relax, service. General conditons normally far better in Steigenberger Hotel-chain, sorry, but with this infrastructure you could do better and I encourage you to do so.

Position in town, staff efficiency

No climatisation in room. Old furnitures. Rooms need a renewal.

Very large room- older hotel- nice pool and hot tub. excellent room service. Walking distance to everything you need

they started draining the hot tub while we were sitting in it 3 hrs ahead of when the sign said they were going to close it for maint.. no air conditioning or fans.

Breakfast was excellent and kept well topped up by staff. Dinner also very good quality but service was amateurish. Pool and spa also very nice but poolside service a bit hit and miss.

The rooms were good size but rather tired, especially the bathroom. They really need a gardener - it wasn't great sitting out on our terrace (a nice touch) looking at a sea of weeds!

Das eigene Thermalwasser des Hotels ist super. Die alten Bäume des Parks (der frühere Gärtner des Steigenberger war sorgfältiger),die Nähe zur Stadt und Natur sind einmalig, die Reception und das Servicepersonal sind sehr freundlich und flexibel,wir konnten mit unserem kleinen Hund in der Säulenhalle frühstücken,wir sind 3 Nächte geblieben.

Das Innenschwimmbad roch stark nach Chemie. Es wurde kein Tee oder Kaffee, keine Früchte im Schwimmbad angeboten. Die Umbauarbeiten waren hörbar.
