Steigenberger Berlin

This hotel is in a very convenient location and is close to several U- Bahn and S-Bahn lines. It is very quiet, and although we were there duringg a heat spell (temps in upper 90s, farenheit), the a/c kept us nice and cool. We stayed in an "executive" double, which was an average- size room but located on the "Executive" floor (the top floor), with access to the Executive lounge, which was great. It is partly set up as a breakfast room, where there is complementary continental breakfast every morning (in Germany, the normal hotel breakfast is a full buffet and costs $20), cake in the late afternoon, warm & cold appetizers from 5-7pm, and coffees tea, cold drinks, and fruit 24/7. There are also 2 laptops for guests' use in a sep. section.

Unpretencious. Comfortable. Nicelly located. Halfway between a modern five stars hotel and a charm hotel. Nice spa.

Some attitudes from the staff I have already reported.

First, it had air conditioning as it was very hot in Berlin when we were there. Loved the comfort of the beds and the pool was wonderful, teenaged kids enjoyed it. Executive floor upgrade was worth the extra we payed.

The desk staff was efficient but unfriendly and the business center lacking for a business hotel, were unable to print out items we needed from out computer (large print out).

sure was that the suite i book it i didn’t receive it and i receive another one with another facilities and when i spoke with reception girl in my arrival day she told me no it is this and again reception staff was little bit stressful from our talking that i didn’t feel comfortable and i don’t know if i will back again or no

i liked the business lounge where both my children went for most of the time, there is a t.v, three times a day they change the food in the buffet, and there are a couple of computers. excellent.

we booked an executive suite for 7 nights which was expensive of course, but when i was checking out they told me (we cant check u out until u bring to the reception the adaptor u borrowed ), which was rude, i was angry of course and told them it's in the room.u can have .

The staff were friendly and you felt welcome straight away. The Hotel was lovely, the room clean, fresh and well decorated. Cannot fault and would highly recommend.

Some staff at reception where excellent, received info I required straight away from a young man and young woman, others were fair, one was poor .Staff in restaurant were good.

rooms excellent (recently renovated), coffe maker in room,safe, fridge with bar, shower with oversized shower head, central location for shopping and sightseeing tours, train station (zoologischer garten) swimming pool

did not have exercise facilities

De verzorging was subliem. Zwembad met krantje en sapje in de ochtend. Goede badkamer, net even wat meer ruimte op de kamer.

Ontbijt is echt veel te duur en niet karaktervoll. Neem even de moeite om naar Literaturhaus/Fasanenstrasse te gaan (fietshuur trouwens om de hoek). en je ontbijt in stijl voor de helft. Locatie is op rustig plein maar drukke winkelwijk; een buurt die toch iets minder is dan het spannende oostern (Scheunenviertel!)

A very comfortable and clean room in an excellent location. A nice spa as well.

Connection to wi fi could have been easier.

Easy check in. Pleasant Staff. The Executive floor is worth the upgrade.Nice buffet breakfast and snacks in the evening.

the location is perfect, the rooms are quite comfortable but small, service is very good

there is no gym available and the sauna is rather old fashioned and need renovation, there is no "Ruheraum" available and the showsers in the pool area did not work during my stay of 7 days - very bad !

Very nice hotel, good breakfast although expensive, excellent location, close to many things and to public transport.
