눉Our room was awkward, large but with steps, hypermodern, a ridiculous cartoon of a flower covered an entire wall. The closet rod ran front to back which is inconvenient to use. The workspace was good, but in addition to the desk chair, there was only a single chair. The open bathroom is a major problem, if the room is occupied by more than a single person. The bathroom is an open space, has no door or walls, the toilet and the shower are enclosures with translucent glass doors. In order to use the toilet at night, you need to turn on a bank of lights that lights up the room and disturbs anyone else who is sleeping. I mentioned this to the receptionist on checkout, who was very well aware of the problem, and advised me to request a room with an enclosed bathroom the next time we stayed. However, she also said that there were very few such rooms.
Booking.com lists this hotel as 5 stars, although I saw no rating actually shown anywhere in the hotel. If this hotel is 5 stars, it is at the very bottom of this category, because it does not have the level of service that one would expect. There is no turndown service. There is only a single bellman on duty in the lobby. Complimentary water in the room is only provided on check-in, and not replaced.
눇The central location close to the opera house and the Museums is outstanding.
