Wittelsbacher Hof Swiss Quality Hotel    

Everything was eloquent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We couldn't have been more pleased and impressed.

The facilities were first rate, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We like to have a cup of coffee in our room, before we had breakfast. We were accommodated easily.

From the moment we walked through the front door the staff was outstanding. Great location for visiting Garmisch and surrounding area. Room was wonderful and very comfortable. Great value, a must stay if visiting Garmisch. Restaurant on property. Buffet breakfast was a not to miss event.

What a lovely experience I had staying there. Super friendly and professional staff, very convenient, and most of all everything I expected. Pool, sauna, and steam room very good. Afternoon tea in gardena nice respite. Breakfast and breakfast room was fantastic.

Only minor, but if you are a trendy type you might find the hotel a little old fashioned... but I liked that. None of the all-in-black fashionista phonies staying there.

The location was excellent, near the train station and town. The room was nice and had a beautiful view of the mountains. The staff was helpful. The restaurant had good food.

There was no shower curtain, there was a bit of road noise and the window curtains were not opaque so the room was not very dark.

The rooms were well appointed and pristine. Service was impecable and the food was delicious.

Would have liked longer hours for the sauna and steam room. 7Pm closing was a little early.

The main profit for us was the fact that we were able to book it only a few days before check-in although it was a winter week-end in Garmisch. A very friendly lady at the reception has provided an exceptional support with every single question we had. Breakfast is really good, plenty of choices, supportive and friendly team. I had an Alpspitz view directly from my bed. Central location, still the noise did not borrow me. Nice place although we personally are used to stay on different side of the city. Quite a large room with comfortable, wide enough double bed. All the shower amenities included. Tea hour is very much appreciated during a cold season: tea and cookies are served in a quiet lounge.

Limited parking area directly before the entrance, otherwise you use a garage for additional fee, it's within 2 min walk. The building is in need of repair. The balcony did not seem really safe to step in :) Also the cleaning lady seemed a little strange...not rude, but much different from the reception team.

The hotel is in a great location, the hotel staff were very nice and the breakfast was excellent.

Parking in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is difficult regardless of the location or hotel.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. A really nice touch was the afternoon tea and cakes which is included in the rate. A great selection of cakes and really good after a day skiing. Breakfast also excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we were also able to purchase ski passes at the hotel which saved time.

The friendliness of the staff was excellent as well as the food. We enjoyed many of the amenities that were included in our price.

I would suggest a few more "kid friendly" items on the dinner menu.

Superb room (rooms 64 and 74 are corner rooms and recommended). Plenty of space, hotekl had good facilities including pool , sauna and steamroom which we used and also a very pleasant terrace area and garden which is ideal in good weather. Very good breakfast service as well. Great location to walk into Garmisch centre.

Other rooms I am told are not as well serviced in terms of not all having proper showers. The hotel would also benefit from having its own bar.

The room was specious and with balcony.. The location.. Not far away from Garmisch marienplatz.. Free wifi internet.. Free parking.. You can have your breakfast buffet at room with extra charge per person.. I liked this.

We felt so lucky to find this hotel! My husband and I spent a long weekend in Garmisch with our two dogs and thoroughly enjoyed the Wittelsbacher Hof. The staff were all extremely kind and professional and welcomed us warmly. Although we were late for the dinner seating, the restaurant staff ensured we had a wonderful late night meal with impeccable service. The restaurant is a gem with good quality food adn lovely atmosphere. Breakfast had abundant choices. The spa in the basement was lovely with a sauna, steam room, foot therapy bath and heated indoor pool. Just what we needed after days spent hiking in around the Zugspitze and Neuschwanstein Castle. Highly recommneded!

Location was good, walking distance from the center. Breakfast was good too. Room space was fair, I took two connected rooms. WiFi service was free and fast.

No ac, but when you open the windows you get a little breezy chilling wind. Old furniture but it did work out fine. They offered two fan machines to our rooms, still warm though. In Garmisch, most of the hotels are like this.

The hotel is located in almost the center of the town, but it is situated so that there is no hustle or bustle of city heavy traffic. Their free breakfast is outstanding. We did not have our laptops with us so we cannot comment on any Wi-Fi options. The staff spoke English, but when I indicated my desire to speak German, they were very accommadating and helpful when I made mistakes. The indoor pool was superb. The comfortable robe and slippers made the pool experience even better. The best part is that this outstanding hotel is not expensive...and the view from the room's balcony cannot be matched! An excellent place to stay.

No shower curtain in the bath-tub, so it's impossible not to flood the bathroom.
