Hotel Herzog Wilhelm - Tannenbaum  

Ok, where do I start? The first room we were given was awful. Way too small, way too shabby. I wish I could share photos with you, because I did take some. A prison's cell would have been better. Thank God, they did give us another room, this time at Tannenbaum. They said they couldn't give us a baby crib though. The room at Tannenbaum was better, but still it was definitely not worth the price. No mini bar? Jesus... There were stairs at the entrance, we had to struggle every time to carry the baby's pushchair. Breakfast was served over at Herzog-Wilhem (the reception was there too) and it was nothing special. We didn't even bother to eat breakfast there except for the first morning. I would never go back and I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone. Oh! Did I mention that our room was not tidied up the second day??

Good location- close to city sights. Nice breakfast.

We didn't realize parking would be up the street- not on site. The guy at the reception desk was not very friendly or helpful. He seemed annoyed to have to answer my question and check me in. But the staff in the morning was nice and friendly. We reserved a double room, but got a twin room instead. The smoke from the restaurant downstairs filtered into our room horribly- it stunk really bad. The noise in the hotel was bad, too- you could hear people talking in the halls late at night and again early in the morning.

The location compared to the costs is outstanding. You will not find a better located hotel for this price

This was our 3rd visit at this hotel, this time in the Herzog Wilhelm part. The 1st and 2nd time were ok, but our stay was in the Tannenbaum part, which is the "newer" part of this hotel. Herzog Wilhelm is really outdated and needs painting, restyling etc. We cancelled the remaining 2 nights and stayed in another hotel. NOTE that booking.com sells originally 2 persons room as a 3 persons room! A stretcher is placed in the room, although the space is limited. Claiming this at the customer service did not convince them to change the description of the 3 persons room. There are no "official" 3 persons room in this hotel

Hotel is very central for a stay in the Altstadt. Rooms are clean and simply furnished. Good shower, good beds.

There was no chair in my room and there are no chairs at all in reception so there is nowhere to ever sit down, other than on the bed in your room.

walking distance to the city for shopping and business, clean ,WLAN, 50 Euro incl. good breakfast and Tax is good value.

Excellent location to Ocktoberfest and short walk to old Town, nice but simple breakfast , very clean room. Would stay here again, nothing fancy but exceeded our expectations. Many thanks

I love this hotel. This is the third time we've stayed here over the past three years. Excellent location, good service and reasonable price.

The hotel needs a little remodeling. When we first stayed in 2008 it was newly remodeled. This year the carpet was showing quite a bit of wear, but it was clean.
