Location to mail old town street Breakfast Looks a bit funkier than the average hotel
Not exactly greeted warmly with 2 words at check in
in the middle of town, very well designed, and excellent breakfast. very friendly for kids: for example, a small table with colouring kit at the dining room.
Great breakfast, helpful and friendly staff.
Parking was a long way from the hotel especially if you have to carry bags. Location not ideal for sightseeing the castle and old town.
Nicely designed rooms, stable wifi and great breakfast.
Hotel looked a bit like an old school building inside. Room refurbished, and although described as "elegantly decorated", this was mostly one wall behind the bed. En suite bathroom functional, and large, but not exceptional. Comfortable bed. Very good German style breakfast at big communal tables in spacious room. No parking on site, but there's underground city parking within 200m or so. Walking distance from old town.
Very creaky floors.
Unusually but nicely decorated Large Room Close to the town
We had to park in a public car park some way from the hotel No Bar No Lifts - we were on the top floor and with the cases it was a bit of an effort
The room was nicely decorated and huge! The hotel itself is so charming. The breakfast buffet and the eating are were also excellent. Great value for money!
Loved the location. Easy access to many great restaurants, walking distance or short cab rides.
Staff was young and dismissive, probably college kids working for the summer. Housekeeping only made the bed, no fresh towels or even folding the towels.
The staff & reception were very kind & helpful, the breakfast was great
We couldn't figure out why but all of our pillows smelled bad; like they weren't dried enough after washing them. The noise outside was pretty bad also since we stayed over the weekend.
Size of a single room is outstanding Very good location, main street is just across the road Room had four windows pointing to two different sides, great amount of light if you need it
The hotel staff was more than helpful. Clean and nice old building. Very good breakfast and location.
Large bedroom with a nice new bathroom. Good variety of breakfast. Nice design
There is no lift! And no air conditioning and no fridge in the room. Reception is open only until 21:00.
Good location, nice room with heat even in rainy and cloudy summer(very cold at night), the staff is REALLY nice and helpful, the hotel is good and breakfast is simple but good enough.
no lifts and we have to carry heavy luggage to 3rd floor, others are perfect.
Very good breakfast, lot of space in the room
No working table in the room
We liked this clean and comfortable hotel. Location was close to buses and a short walk into the old centre of town.
Rooms were fantastic, decorated with great style. Staff went out of their way to help us (we were travelling with a baby, so had many strange requests for washing bottles, etc.). This hotel was so good that we'd come back, even if we dont need to be in heidelberg at all
Very good position. Solid traditional style propery. Good breakfast. Handy to have a restaurant there too.
A bit difficult humping suitcases up narrow stairs and corridors. We were there in a heatwave, with no air conditioning - then again properties in Germany don't generally seem to have this.
Good location, good breakfast, helpful staff.
Very creaky floor, you could hear every step of people upstairs, and if they decide to walk around the room all night long (like mine did) you probably won't get any sleep.
Location, big spacious modern rooms with high ceilings
Noises from traffic (tram and buses)
room was huge and comfortable, close to everything, we loved our stay
The breakfast was good and ease of access to tram network making it very easy to reach from train station
Rooms were very basic and wifi didn't work unless in the corridor. It us not as central to the old town as other hotels so be prepared for a walk to the main sights
The staff the cleanliness and the breakfast
The stairs and the traffic noise
Great location. You can take tram from the station to the hotel easily and can go anywhere from the tram station in front of the hotel. Just located on the edge of Old Town. Staffs are friendly, the room was clean and nice decor with high ceiling and larger than I expected. Some people say it is too noisy, my room was located 1st floor and facing to the busy road but I personally liked it feeling this city, especially in the morning waking up with the sounds of tram and bird singing.
Near the city center. The room clean and tidy. Staff was very friendly, let us advance with the check-in and without any charge.
clean and spacious, convenient location to the sight seeing spots and good breakfast
no lift though we got help from the hotel staff to carry the luggage upstairs
