The different buildings of the hotel are around an inner courtyard which is bound by the old city wall. On the other side it connects to the promenade of the historic quarter.

Boasting award-winning cuisine, this 3-star hotel is situated in the romantic town of Marktheidenfeld, amidst the scenic vineyards and woodlands of the Main-Spessart region.
Score from 76 reviews Good
We had an overnight stay here on our way back from Vienna. There had obviously been a lot of refurbishment done recently and it was immaculate.Well set up for disabled guests with lift and automatic fire doors. Just across the road to town centre. On two rivers with cycle routes and with garage in basement so would be a good base for cycle touring. Good continental breakfast with plenty of choice.
Automatic door a little confusing. I didn't realise at first and tried to open it manually but got jammed by the heavy door half way through. I then kept pushing the switch next to the door which was for the stairwell light. The actual switch was behind me near the lift. Like most tired travellers I just want to get to my room quickly and don't want to have to read instructions and search for the right switch to get through a door. I realise the reason for this arrangement and can't see a better solution; it was just a bit frustrating.
A location - very nice town
the restaurant - terrible food! the breakfast was fine, but no one there asking if the few guests were ok or needed anything - poor.
Very helpful staff.
Good location, comfortable room.
Thin walls and passing traffic made sleep difficult for a light sleeper
Location, view through the window
Hotel personal barely speaks English
Clean, family run hotel, you should not expect a luxury hotel, we stayed there for 1 night as we passed through, very good value for money, nice staff
We enjoyed the situation of the hotel in a quiet ,picturesque little German town. Our room overlooking the river Tauber The Greek run restaurant within the hotel had a very good and varied dinner menu - we sat outside and ate overlooking the river.
The tiniest lift ever -two people plus a case and it was full. We were on the second floor so stairs not a problem but anyone on the third floor might struggle with cases
No Faults, 2nd time here, will stay again.
Interesting old town, lots of reminders about the flood levels over the years, so it could get damp in the rainy season!! Parking needs to be reserved.
Pleasant location, good Greek restaurant on the premises.
No tea/coffee-making facilities in room.
Great attached restaurant. Clean, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff.
the breakfast buffet is better than everage.
The bathroom is too small.
The staff was nice and helpfull, the room quite comfortable although cleanliness seemed in corners a bit superficial, good situated in the near of the center. Buffet breakfast was truly delicious. Altogether good choice that served its purpose.
Wi-Fi should be better
Friendly staff. Excellent restaurant. We all voted it the best food on our Germany trip. Beautiful little town.
Wonderful hosts. They took the time to look after us well. Excellent location for visiting the old city and the castle.
Extremely friendly staff eager to assist and making you feel very welcome Secure underground parking Lively restaurant ( Greek food ) frequented by many locals
Good location just across the road from the centre of town. Warm friendly welcome from lady on reception after a difficult drive from Austria. Secure parking underneath the hotel. Convenient (Greek) restaurant in the same building. Free wi fi.
Room as such....
Wifi did not functioned. Rest was OK!
Close to the Christmas market. That is why we booked with this hotel.
We booked for a room with a view of the city, All we had was a view of a building...nothing to do with the city.
Nice central location . Clean and basic rooms. English speaking receptionist . Nice breakfast.
No tea/coffee making facilities in room. Car park under hotel too tight for a big car - 5€/night. Restaurant dinner not great.
