TopDomizil - Apartments 'Residenz Prenzelberg'  

The apartment was well located for us to explore Berlin. Good transport links nearby. Nice restaurants and well stocked supermarkets very close. The apartment was beside the mauer park which had great playparks for our daughter, a petting zoo and on the sunday a huge flea market. The apartment had the essentials for putting a meal together (except a tin opener) and had an operational DVD player (very helpful when travelling with small children). The balcony was an added bonus, nice views of the sunset over the city. The shower was very powerful and plenty hot water. Friendly staff.

For the price the beds could have been comfier and the furnishings (carpets and rugs) a bit newer and cleaner (not dirty more old and dusty). Not being able to check in after 10pm is a bit difficult (we had to ask a friend who lived locally to collect the keys).

Location is perfect, not so far from the U-Bahn. Lot of restaurants close to the apartment. The street is quite, really nice neighborhood.

Nice room and well equipped. Good size for a 3 persons family. Very close to a supermarket. Good variety of restaurants nearby on the street on the back and in the perpendicular main street.

Could have to attention to cleanliness. Under the bed and sofas was not cleaned for a long while accumulating a lot of dust. Internet should be booked in the reservation. Although we still got a router, it was a GSM connection that was not that fast. (This depends on the apartment were you stay.)

The location is excellent. It is a quiet and interesting neighborhood. The formula : kitchen, living room, balcony meets the needs.

The service was minimal. Some staff could not answer questions or respond differently. There were no washing machines in the building (the site announce that it is available). The cleanliness of the apartment was insufficient.

no wireless internet

Clean modern one bedroom apartment, reasonable size and price. Staff were friendly and responsive to all requests, except for serious Internet problem listed below. Prenzelberg area is alternative and cool, although it's a bit of a long walk downtown.

Were unable to provide us working internet, and put us through several days of trying wireless, which didn't work, a modem, which worked only about a half an hour, and a device called a stick with instructions only in German, which we could not get to work. We were told there were not enough sticks for all units, and should have booked in advance, but the web advert only said that we should inform the office if we needed internet. Absurd in this day and age, and caused us many inconvenient trips to an Internet cafe several blocks away while we tried to book further travel tickets, hotel, etc. a real hassle. Also, while I didn't mind practising my German with the mostly exclusively German speaking staff (the office and super spoke some English, when they were iavailable) the lack of English-speaking staff could be a problem for many travellers.

No AC in apartment, doorman don't speak English, cheap stereo (no input to connect mp3 player)

The location was perfect; not a tourist staple, yet within walking distance of many attractions and great cafes and bars. Lovely, safe, leafy area. Apartment was equipped with everything you need to prepare meals and linen and towels. It was secure with a private outdoor area. Very quiet and peaceful. Close to transport links and within a 2 minute walk of the great Mauerpark Market which!

Was told there would be internet access, but our apartment did not have it.

Nice area and view. Small balcony available. Very quiet.

Appartment situated on the 7th floor. Elevator access up to 6 floor.

The best was the price-value ratio. The apartment was clean, had all the necessary for the kitchen, it is very well located. U-Bahn close by. It is close to bars in the neighborhood and also close to a supermarket.

I could not use the internet connection. There was nobody at the office of Top Domizil during the two days of my stay.

Have just come home from a stay at the TopDomizil in the area of Prenzelberg and just loved it. I travelled with a friend and being in our mid twenties, we had been advised to stay in the eastern area of Berlin as that's where the cool independent bars and shops are. The apartment was big and had a balcony. The doorman was the only staff we more or less had any contact with, and he did not speak any english, however, he was very friendly and when we had a question about the internet he put us on the phone to a member of staff who spoke english who helped us. When I go next time, I will definetly stay here again.

Full apartment, private balcony, dvd player, it was very nice

The front desk spoke no english but we managed, wouldn't walk around there at night, transport to city takes two trams and a train
