The hotel is priced very well and even includes a bathroom compared to other hotels that are basically dorm rooms without bathrooms around the same price. The room is quite large and has some space to open up your luggage. The hotel is about 3 minutes walk from central station. The only bad thing I found is that there isn’t free wifi. You can use the common room computer, which is free. I tried to connect the LAN line to my laptop, but it would bring up a payment website, so I had to use their computer. It was quite difficult since it was in German and the keyboard style was German. The area of the hotel is kind of sketchy with a red light district. I think there were women of the night working the streets and the city of Hamburg isn’t that clean compared to other German cities. |

Centrality to major art galleries and main transport network and i need to mention that management placed me in a double room for the same price as a single room since the latter was not available. The natural air ciriculation in this room was wonderful and quite unlike most hotel rooms. Great breakfast! |

Nice staff, good breakfast, responsive to customer needs and mostly aware of activites and directions requested. A bit of language trouble with night staff but got through it okay. It was a hot couple of days and the hotel lacked air conditioning units (portable) to solve the issue -- thus it was a hard couple of nights to sleep. |

It was close to the railway station. There was someone on reception 24 hours a day. The breakfast was very good. I would stay there again. I was unable to obtain bbc on the television set. Your staff failed also. |

Close to a very nice neighberhood (St Georg), Steindamm is a"real life"- street , Close to metro, railwaystation etc. By booking it was said there would be a kingsizebed, but there wasn't; it's a normal double-bed. |

Convenience - it is located very close to the main train station and underground so easy to get around the city Location - a dodgy street with sex shops, drug pushers and lots of alcoholics hanging around the street. Single room was marginally bigger than a cupboard, minute, dark and depressing, I upgraded to a double which was much better. |

Good value. The receptionist was most helpful. We arrived late and tired as we were stuck in Europe due to volcanic ash. He helped us book our hotel in Paris and the hotel was perfect for our needs. It is located close to restaurants and the station which was great. Thanks Reception lobby area very small. |

good value, very clean and tidy. good typical continental breakfast, considering a lot of gaffs want ludicrous amounts of money for breakfast. |

I didn't like the fact that my credit card was charged before I arrived. It was to be used for reservation only and not as payment! Hotel is located on a street with more sex shops than Amsterdam. |

The location and price of the hotel is ok. Reserved room was not available and had to be downgraded to a smoking room without private facilities. |

I booked Terminus but instead was moved to Lumen Hotel (they are affiliated). The hotel room was very clean and warm, I enjoyed my staying. The hotel is located at the very center of Hamburg, so everything is close. By the way, this is not a red light district. The real red light district is on the Reeperbahn, in St. Pauli area. Room a bit worn out, not soundproof. |

Very good for transport links and walkable to city centre shops and attractions. Simple but good breakfast buffet. Room smelled strongly of air freshener covering other smells; woodchip wallpaper needs updating. |
