The Mandala Hotel  

We really appreciated the helpful staff, the suite with kitchenette and the elegant modern design of the hotel.

It is a very nice and beautiful hotel, a little luxory treat for a decent amount of money. Very nice facilities and a great breakfast in beautiful settings.

A little unclear how you are allowed to use the spa as a hotel guest.

Spacious suite. Well designed modern suite with balcony. Good large sized bathroom. Walk in wardrobe - so no need for clothes and cases scattered around hotel room. The kitchenette was a bonus - fridge, hob, kettle and sink; just great for snacking and those in between meals. Good location and the setting was not at all noisy. Would stay again.

The Mandala hotel is excellent. It is just in front of the Sony Center in Postdam Platz. The neighborhood is great, lots of restaurants nearby, movie theatres, train station at the corner. You can walk to the Branderbourg gate or the Reichstad in 10 minutes, very nice walk. You can see the Berlin wall at the hotel corner. The room was a small suite for 2 people, it had a huge bathroom with bathtub, robes and slippers were provided. Very nice toiletries also. You have a small kitchen with a fridge, and a coffee machine. They provide tea, coffee, cacao and cream for free. You have a walking closet for your clothes and bag. Also a huge desk to work if you need to. Wireless internet is for free. You have a small resting area like a living room with a coach and flat screen tv. The bed is very comfortable. The hotel has ac. Really this is a very nice hotel, excellent for Europe standards were all rooms and bathrooms are tiny. This is a real 4 star hotel, very modern with excellent staff. We did not have the breakfast option at the hotel because we considered it a little expensive. There is a Dunking Donuts just in front or a Starbucks nearby. I can really recommend this hotel, no doubt. The price of 115 euros a night was really very reasonable. I stayed there 4 nights in July 2011.

No complaints the hotel and staff are excellent.

Spa

The bathroom sink is far away from the soap jar. They are designed for two sink sytems. It would be useful to put a soap jar near the sink.

The service

The hotel is deightful. Excellent airy modern decor.Very well designed ,spacious rooms- infact perhaps better described as suites. Really good wardrobe /clothes storage and mini kitchen facilities- tea making items provided and more cookingitems /crockery available from reception. .Rooms facing onto the inner garden courtyard are quiet and many rooms have balconies. An excellent base for sightseeing- only minutes on foot from Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate. Next to Potsdamer Platz and Arcade. Breakfast is served in Facil restaurant- fantastic setting and very good buffet with wonderful breads,homemade jams,fruit juices,muesilis,patisseries,hams,cheeses and eggs,bacon and waffles available on request.

arrogance and professionalism of staff at the reception. very bad and obsessive work of cleaning rooms. no one helps with your luggage.

The Mandala Hotel is one classy place from top to bottom. Rooms were spacious, especially the bathrooms. We were a family with small child and were treated very well. They provided wonderful organic bathroom products and the rooms were cleaned daily. Didn't use the spa or restaurant so can't speak to those. The location cannot be beat, we walked most everywhere, (Legoland, Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, Museum Island, Parliament...)

Parking is 20 Euros a day and breakfast is even more expensive per person per day though we hear it's wonderful.

Lovely hotel - its right in the centre of town but entirely silent. The rooms are huge.

Staff either too busy or too new to give any useful advice. The area directly around the hotel is totally characterless.
