The location is great. The Hotel entrance is just (literally) a few steps away from the subway station and it is 4-5 stops from the Main train station and connection to other lines (although we did not need to change line for most of our travel). The hotel was clean and had wifi working perfectly well. The price we paying was a good deal (60 euros per night in a double room) considering the location. The room was clean, and althought the toilette was on the small side, it was good enough. More importantly it was clean. The double bed (two single beds joined) kept pulling apart and leaving a small gap. Not enough for one to fall on the floor but enough to keep worried. This was however a minor problem and I would still recommend the Hotel for the price I mentioned above.

Stayed at the hotel Tiefenthal for a week and I would recommend this hotel for both families and solo travelers. Good location: not exactly at the city center, but 5 seconds from metro station Wandsbek Markt (20 min journey from the airport); this area is completed by restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries and Karstadt shopping center. The hotel staff is very nice, helpful and friendly. In short words hotel Tiefenthal meets the requirements of 3-star hotels and is a really good place to stay in Hamburg.

This is a very well appointed hotel for its size and star rating. It is right opposite the U/S Bahn station and next to a big shopping mall. The centre of Hamburg is just 10 mins away and there is a bus to the airport from this station taking half an hour. The rooms are clean and have excellent showers and there is a good breakfast. Staff are helpful and very pleasant.

The most brilliant & helpful receptionist in the world, she was a delight! Brilliant transport links & perfectly clean. Would definately stay there again, great value for money. For what we paid I can't recomend this highly enough!

Sehr gutes frühstücksbuffet Bei Zimmern auf der Ostseite kann es manchmal laut werden, da sich ein Nebeneingang zu einem Mc Donalds darunter befindet!

Anbindung an das Netz der HVV. Mc-Donalds-Duft im Zimmer da ein solcher direkt seine Abluft unter meinem Zimmerfenster abgab. Vibrationen der U-Bahn. Risse in den Wänden und diverse defekte Lampen im Zimmer.

Das auf meine Wünsche (Nichtraucherzimmer und ruhige Lage) vollständig eingegangen wurde zentrale Lage mit sehr guter Anbindung (U1 direkt vor der Tür) Die Matratze in meinem gebuchten Zimmer war mir persönlich zu weich Frühstücksbuffet war für den Preis nicht abwechslungsreich genug

gute Erreichbarkeit der öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel (fußläufig zur U1 Wandsbeker Markt), ruhige Zimmer zur Rückseite des Hotels, etwas höhere Lärmfrequenz zur Straßenseite des Hotels

Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Om het centrum te bezoeken is de locatie uitstekend: op tien minuten metrorijden van het Hauptbahnhof. Jammer dat het hotel geen eigen bar heeft. De prijs van het ontbijt was wat prijs/kwaliteit betreft naar de hoge kant. Maar in de onmiddellijke omgeving zijn er voldoende alternatieven.

Die Lage des Hotels: Zwar etwas außerhalb, aber durch die direkt vorm Hotel gelegene U-Bahn-Haltestelle ist das Zentrum in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Die Zimmer des Hotels sind zwar klein, aber sauber. Die Mitarbeiter sind stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. In meinem Zimmer gab es keinen Garderobenhaken, um die vom Regen nasse Jacke aufzuhängen.

Alle bisherigen negativen Kommentare trafen nicht zu!! Das Frühstück war super, es war nicht laut etc. Und wenn man eine Städtereise plant und dann erwartet man bekäme ein riiiiiesen Zimmer.... dann hat man noch nie eine Stadt besucht :) Klein aber fein! U- Bahn direkt vor der Tür, ein paar Meter weiter ein Einkaufszentrum und den Parkplatz direkt hinterm Haus. Rund um, das Hotel war Klasse!

Gutes Hotel in bester Ausgangslage für Städtetour. Sehr, sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Auch die Komfortzimmer sind relativ klein aber ein paar Nächte durchaus auszuhalten ;)

Gute Lage, gleich gegenüber der U-Bahn-Station. Einkaufszentrum gegenüber. Das Frühstück ist sehr teuer, aber man findet gute Bäckereien gleich in der Nähe.

Beliggende få minutters gang fra U-bahn station, der bringer gæsterne ind til Hamburgs bymidte på få minutter. Ligger I et forretningskvarter og klods op af et stort indkøbscenter med masser af indkøbsmuligheder. Masser af gode spisesteder I nærområdet. Godt lille veldrevet hotel.
