Hotel Sylter Hof Berlin Superior  

Shabby room which smelled of old. I Can not sleep because the window was on a street with a huge car traffic. I asked for another room. The receptionist told me that with this rate, it was impossible to change rooms. It is dishonest of not to write before on Booking. When I returned after dinner, the receptionist gave me an oral questionnaire to see if I was the person who occupied the room. Yet it was the same receptionist who made ​​me the check-in 2 hours before (a German nostalgic atmosphere?) What to do? Get angry?

Good location. The famous no 100 bus stops right in front of the hotel.

I was without hot water for a whole day. No prior warning. I had to shower in another room. Very uncomfortable!!!!

I like absolutely everything. The room was large enough, very quiet and comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful, we enjoy the excellent breakfast. The location is great, the bus stop is in front of hotel, the U-bahn station is 5 minutes walk away, nearby is Europa Center, Zoo and Kurfurstendamm.

I like absolutely everything about this hotel.

Sometime problem with a hot water in the bathroom in the evening. 35+ degree - it's a maximum in the evening.

We booked a suite, because we usually spend a fair amount of time in the hotelroom. The suite was on the 13th floor, so the view was amazing. The room seems to have been a small apartment before it became a hotel-suite. Very big (just as big as my appartment at home) and clean. The kitchen is quite useles, though, because there are no plates, cutlery, pans, etc.The fact that bus 100 stops in front of the hotel is a big plus. The staff is very kind and helpfull. All in all I would definately reccomend this hotel to others.

Too bad the hotel doesn't have dinner facilities.

I had a refurbished 1 person room that exceeded my expectations. It was small but clean, new and it had a bed with a good mattress. Slept very well. My parents had a suite with kitchen on the 16th floor. They enjoyed their stay as well. Location is good: Subway, supermarket, shops, the Zoo, everything was close to the hotel which is easy to be found by car.

The kitchen could do with some form of ventilation (other than opening the window).

Clean, good service and just how it should be.

The water pressure in the shower was bad. But in the sink it was ok.

Location was nice next to multiple U-bahn stops, but like a 5-10 min from them. Next to the Ka De We and close to the zoo. The hotel staff was excellent and the room was really large.

The bathroom could have been a bit fancier, but other than that no complaints. Breakfast could have also been cheaper, but we opted to just go to near by bakeries/cafes instead.

I knew the hotel from a previous visit so I chose it for our 2 night stay. We were lucky to be put into a refurbished room: very comfortable and spacious. The breakfasts were the best we had had at any hotel. In all a pleasing experience.

We encountered nothing negative during our stay.

This is not a complaint but it was not possible to make a cup of tea in the bedroom and room service appeared to be non-existant, although it was advertised.

We stayed in Hotel Sylter for 4 days and are impressed by service/facilities and most helpful staff. Our standard double was about 22 sq.M. With ensuit kitchen and bathroom, of course. Outside The Hotel there's stop of bus 100 by which u can reach all the main attractions of Berlin. The nearest U-bahn Wittenberplatz (as well as KaDeWe and other shopping centres of Ku'Damm) is 7 min of relaxed tourist walk. Breakfast (10 eur) was versitile and up to the level of the Hotel. We highly recommend to stay in this hotel as location and service are really value for money.
