Very professional staff. The room was clean and the breakfast buffet was decent. The Front Desk staff was cold. Very small elevator and stairs were required regardless of which floor your room was on.

Location - the best in Munich. front office desk personnel. opposite station for airport and ticket from hotel - excellent service. Breakfast. The 7 or 8 steps to the lift. Good for your figure though!

I really loved the front desk team. They are very Nice and provide an attentive service. The hotel location is perfect, most of the sigths are within a walking distance. Breakfast is good and our room - 112- a standard room was big enough to allow us to move with freedom, even having a large bed, sofá, small table and chairs. Despite being in the 1st flloor it faces the parking and was very quiet. It is not cheap -175 euros per nigth- but I strongly recommend staying here.

Our four-day stay in Munich was delightful, largely in part to our accommodations at The Hotel Torbrau. First, our party of five arrived from our international flight at 10 A.M. and went in just to see if we could park our car before check-in time; however, we were told that our three rooms were ready and we could go ahead and check in!!! Four gold stars to begin with :). We had three different types of rooms: a deluxe double, a standard single,and a standard triple. All were very nice, but my husband and I really enjoyed the "extras" in the deluxe suite: the terry robes, slippers, turn-down service, and mini-bar (included in the rate) that held beer, orange juice, and water. With the extra size of the deluxe room, there was space for our three adult children to come hang out with us in the evening. We started each day with the wonderful breakfast buffet (again, included in the rate), and the quality of service was awesome. And they will custom make egg dishes for you. Last, the location is superb! You are an easy walk to the Marienplatz and a very close walk to The Hofbrau Haus. There is an underground stop just around the corner. I would highly recommend this establishment to other travelers to Munich!

Efficiency, comfort, friendliness, location, cleanliness, food ( breakfast buffet & Schapeau Restaurant), security, safety, internet access, amazing bathroom facilities, the oldest hotel in Munich, yet ultra- modern where needed..all rate 10+ from myself & my 17 yr. Old son.

Excellent, helpful and professional staff. Breakfast buffet and staff superb. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and would return for another stay. I thought the cup of decalf at the outside table was a bit too expensive.

The location can't be beat - within easy walking distance of Marienplatz, the pedestrian district, shopping, and dining. The hotel was clean and modern, the rooms spacious, and the staff friendly. I would definitely recommend the Hotel Torbräu for anyone planning a trip to Munich. Nitpicking - but the room keys come on a ridiculously large and heavy keychain and there was no iron in the room (sad for my clothes - all wrinkly from traveling).

Very friendly, smart 4 star hotel in very heart of Munich centre. Right next to S-bahn for train to and from airport. Lovely breakfasts. Very nice room. Comfortable beds. Hotel bar and restaurant is also excellent.

Great location. Amazing breakfast. Very comfortable room. Staff was very helpful and attentive. I would stay here again! Only drawback is that it is a bit pricey, but it is very near all the good sights and it is a very nice hotel.
