Within walking distance to Old Town
Noisy party in adjacent rooms. Ashamed to say they were Americans. Arrival was a little off-putting, as the front door to the lobby was locked, no instructions on entry. Figured out to push the button. Desk clerk asked to verify who we were before entry. Raises the question.... is this a safe part of town??
Breakfast was great! Vera and the other staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the view of the mountains from the balcony of our room was spectacular
Lovely, Bravarian charm. Good breakfast. Helpful & gracious staff. Clean. Beautiful views. Quiet neighborhood.
3-5 blocks walk to business area, bus, shopping, etc., however, there is a grocery store (Netto) a block from the hotel. Insufficient car parking area & sometimes we had to park on the street.
All was excellent. Good location. Breakfast. Cleaning
very nice quite hotel, with mountin view balcony, very nice helpfull staff, i really recomend it. its in the mid way between Garmisch and Partenkirchen city center. if i go back to Garmisch i would chose Trifthof again for its location, service and price. thanks alot Trifthof
The rooms and service were excellent as was the food.
No description of hotel amenities or sightseeing suggestions in room. No laundry facilities.
The staff were wiiling to help. The room is quite big.
Friendly staff who speak English and give good suggestions of activities. The place was very clean and the breakfast excellent with a view of the mountains. Nice rec room downstairs with refreshments on a trust basis. Felt like home.
The soundproof - heard doors banging during the day but very quiet at night.
The location was ideal being in a very quiet area and a 10 min walk each way into both Garmisch & Partenkirchen. The hotel is beautifully clean and managed by excellent English speaking staff. It has the benefits of a sauna and massage room if required. Our room was spotless and we had a lovely balconly looking up to the Zugspitz. The Partnach Gorge walk was a short walk away which is well recommended and it is also closely situated to the Olympic Ski Jump stadium.
On the on site parking is limited to about 6-8 cars - not a problem for us as we were able to park our motorcycle with no difficulty.
The room was nice and we had a balcony w/table and chairs.....The breakfast was perfect with meats and cheeses and yogurt, eggs, juices, rolls etc. and we had use of the sauna and they had an awesome party room in the basement with full fridge of beer and other drinks at very reasonable prices
The guests above us seemed to make a lot of noise....I call it blumping around....don't know what they were doing but back and forth and whatever and for long periods of time....
Wi fi was difficult No English Channel on TV
welcoming and helpful staff Good breakfast Free Parking space Lovely room with a balcony
Weak WiFI signal in the room A lot of stairs to the room A bit far from the town center
The staff were very friendly and spoke very good English. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful. We had to leave early one morning (by 7) and the staff had a table ready for us in the breakfast room with everything including a pot of coffee. This was especially nice because breakfast normally started at 8 this particular morning.
Parking was a minor problem as there is only 7 parking spots in front of the hotel and parking on the street.
Great staff! Great location!
Gps found the location easily, had on site parking for 6 cars, better than average breakfast
Our room (economy loft) had some low ceilings, but was cozy. Only needed one night so it was not a big deal.
The room was clean and comfortable, although avoid the top floor rooms if you are over 6 feet tall. The staff were wonderful--very helpful on advice for activities, ways to get around more easily. Breakfast was quite good. Location was convenient to everywhere we wanted and wonderful scenic views.
We liked everything at the Hotel Trifthof.
Location was peaceful in very quiet neighborhood. Close to many attractions. Parking a little tight but no problem. Breakfast very good. Friendly, helpful hosts. Favorite spot so far on trip.
Would've liked one more day.
Excellent location, friendly staff, super breakfast! Great experience all around. Beds were a little firm. But I am now realizing that's the case throughout Europe. Vera and the staff were very kind and helpful. We had our almost two year old daughter with us and they were excellent accommodating our needs. Vera even showed us two rooms and allowed us to pick one that would be suite out stay. It was kind and thoughtful. Breakfast was tasty, and I appreciated the individual coffee pots at each table :) We were able to walk to the gorge/Olympic ski area from the B&B and places to eat. It was a great experience, and we look forward to returning.
Good staffs, good breakfast.
The room is small, not as big as it appears in the pictures. A little far from the restaurants and shopping areas.
One of the best locations to tour the area. Walking distance to most of the sights. Would def stay here again!
Breakfast is very nice, such as eggs with mayonnaise, mozzarella cheese and tomato. Spacious room.
Lovely hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the view from the room was absolutely beautiful, and the hotel was so accommodating about providing me with a gluten-free breakfast (which was delicious and included great gf bread, cereal, and other treats). The easy and free parking is great, and the hotel is also very convenient for getting to the Partnach Gorge. I would definitely recommend this place.
The guy at the reception was very kind and nice. He was always trying to help the guests. I really enjoyed staying at Trift Hotel.
The Wifi condition in the room was very bad. The toilette and the shower booth were very small.
