Right in the middle of a beautiful small town Volkach, this hotel sits. We felt like a prince and princess living in a majestic house from way back. Comfortable, great breakfasts, very helpful staff. They made us feel at home. I was sorry to have to leave after four lovely days.

Hotel is perfectly located right in the middle of downtown and has ample parking space. Breakfast and other meals could be had in a nice courtyard outside, but also in the restaurant inside. Breakfast was amazing! As our first trip after relaxation of COVID-realted restrictions, I did not expect much from the "breakfast buffet" experience, but the staff had smartly sorted it out without compromising on the variety avaiable to the guests. Choice of at least 8 different types of eggs and many more toppings for your breads to be chosen from were available along with the usual breakfast items (coffee, juices, cereals,...). We were in the superior double room, which was a big, clean, pretty and comfortable. Staff was very welcoming and helpful, attentive to all our requests. Loved the charm of the old beautiful building, but totally enjoyed the comfort of modernized bathroom!

Excellent location in the center of town with free parking behind the hotel. Very comfortable bed, plenty of hangers in the closet and bathroom essentials (shampoo, body wash, shower caps, etc) provided. Generous breakfast with beautiful fresh and dried fruits, yogurts, cereals, fresh baked breads, cheese and meats with eggs made to order. Exceptionally friendly staff. Hotel restaurant was top quality with delicious local offerings.

Superb location in an outstanding historic hotel. The staff were exceptional. We stayed Monday/Tuesday the week prior to German school holidays and were the only guests which felt similar to being owners of a Manor House. From Thursday to Sunday and during major holidays the hotel is very busy - pick your stay. The restaurant served wonderful German food and although having a limited menu served the best meals of our holiday.
