The position was very good right by the river and shops.Friendly, helpful staff. No lift - steep stairs but was aware of this when booking. Thought the breakfast could have had more choice. |

Good location near the Alte Brucke, friendly staff on the front desk. Hotel rooms are a bit run down. Breakfast was basic. Car parking is expensive (9 euro/night) in a parking garage about 300m away, but I guess parking is a problem for all hotels in the Old Quarter. |

Nothing. Hotel room was very small, no sshampoo, no hair dryer, very noisy, no elevator and that is not fine at all when you have to carry the luggage to the third floor...LOT Of steps.Breakfast was horrible..once slice of cheese and bacon, 2 pieces of bread. When asked to have eggs for breakfast the waiter brought one egg per person...was ridicilously cheap like every single piece of food ewas counted by the owner. I would never ever recommend that hotel to any of my friends. There are plenty of others hotels in Heidelburg with better price, room and breakfast. In addition, there was no parking and we should parked the car in garage which was 10 min in walking distance |

Excellent hotel and staff. Excellent location on the river in the center of old town! No lift, but I need the exercise I guess. Lots of steps to those top floor rooms.... |

Rom was large with big windows that completely opened (for nice weather). Very comfortable room, even with three people. Excellent location and view. Would absolutely stay here again. |

The location in the city centre. The size of the rooms. The extremely friendly and lively hotel manager on duty in the morning. The breakfast was very basic. The noise coming from other rooms, especially from the showers and toilets in those rooms, was not very nice. The hotel entrance is not attractive. The overall impression is 'friendly but underwhelming'. |

The position was excellent, right in the middle of the old town, the only complaint we had, was they put on the top floor after asking not to be, too many stairs. |

enjoyed the location of being right in the old town and near the old bridge. being right where the action is it's not the hotel's fault, but the street noise at night with the thru traffic of big trucks etc. was not pleasant |

Hotel has a perfect location in the centre of the old town, very nice owner who helps out a lot with finding the right things to do. Nice simple but good german breakfast. Room was spacious. You have to park your car 300m down the road in an open public garage. There are no elevators so you will have to bring your luggage up the stairs. Very small shower and the hotel could use a bit of a makeover to make it look a bit more modern. |

Once you get there it is a good location for seeing the old part of town. The desk clerk during the day was friendly and helpful. Hard to get to from the main train station. The desk clerk during the night was adequate. |

The location was excellent, close to all the major tourist attractions. A parking place(6 euros a day) was allocated near the hotel which was useful as otherwise paraking was impossible. It was a bit of a climb up to the third floor without a lift, but it was quiet up there. |

The location of this hotel is just amazing - right by the river and the Alte Brucke - and the staff were fantastic. Our room was extremely large and comfortable with a great view. We would certainly book this hotel again. |

Very close to main attraction in the town. It was a bit difficult to get bags to top floor as no lift, but other than that it was lovely. I guess guests could ask for a lower room if they were concerned. |

Closeness to town centre; nice view of the Old Bridge and the river (room number 12). Noisey in the night, small bathroom, dirty carpet in the room, squeeking floor, flat pillows, stained bed-side table. |

Very family-friendly. Perfect location for visiting Heidelburg--just one hotel down from the old bridge and towers that lead to the old town. Great views from most rooms of the Neckar River and the lovely homes on the opposite bank. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and speak English. We will definitely stay there again. The rooms are a little old and run-down--not uncommon for Europe-- but hey, the buildings are old. Rooms are definitely clean. One great mattress and one that needed to be replaced. Can't beat the crisp linens. |

The hotel manager, Thomas Weil, was awesome! He gave us great advice about how to explore Heidelberg. The view from our window was spectacular, looking out at the Neckar River and the Alte Brucke. Knowing that the building was 300 years old made it even more enjoyable. Everything we visited was very easy to walk to (the university, the castle, shops, restaurants, etc.) We had a wonderful time here and fell in love with Heidelberg, partly due to this great hotel! We would come back in a heartbeat! |
