The staff was friendly and the location was great! Our room looked out on the river and the old bridge. The view was beautiful, and the location is right off the pedestrian zone. |

Probably a pleasant location during the spring / summer months and well positioned for the old town. There is no lift and having to carry a suitcase up three flights of stairs is no fun! The breakfast was meagre and uninteresting. Washbasin lacked a plug, yet when this was (politely) mentioned at checkout the receptionist appeared totally indifferent and made me feel that I was being a nuisance in mentioning it! |

As we stayed in the old part of Heidelberg, we were not surprised that we would be staying in an old Hotel but it was close to everything, so that was a bonus. Would have preferred a Hotel with a lift most of the area around the old City is heritage listed and the owner told us it was not possible to install a lift. |

The staff were positively eager to help me with every question that I had about the hotel and about Heidelberg. The room was cozy and clean. The free breakfasts were simple, delicious, and efficiently managed by the hotel staff. The location is marvelous; within steps of a nice jogging trail by the river in one direction and the charming downtown in the other. I would recommend that elderly or disabled guests inquire ahead about the location of their rooms; many of the rooms can only be reached via a series of narrow stairways. |

The day concierge was hilarious - a very friendly and jovial man. The location near the Neckar River and the Alte Brücke was convenient, and we were within walking distance to practically everything we needed. The evening concierge was not too friendly and seemed put upon by any questions we had or our request for extra towels. Also, our shower doors needed some repair (the rubber spline/caulking was falling off) and there was a bit of mold here and there in the shower. Finally, there was no elevator (but then, this is a very old hotel so I really have no right to complain about that). |

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel location was excellent. Our room overlooked the bridge tower, and was quite large. Although generalIy clean, we felt the room could have used a "spring cleaning." |

The size of the room and the view of the river Reception area was tiny and was met by a gentleman who did not smile or give a warm welcome. Lots of steep stairs to room. Very dated room. Furniture okay but bed was rock hard. Stains on carpet. Bathroom awful. Very small with green sink and shower basin, white toilet and orange plastic walls! Parking was 5 minutes from hotel. Breakfast was okay but not buffet style therefore limited choice. |
