This beautiful, half-timbered, family-run villa is situated in the town of Schwetzingen, in the Rhine-Neckar region in Baden-Württemberg, close to Mannheim and Heidelberg. Come to the Villa Benz and experience the charm of Schwetzingen, well-known for its wonderful castle gardens, asparagus and Mozart festival. The hotel was very nice and quiet. Although my stay was too short to see the castle gardens I liked the hotel giving cards to access the gardens across the street. Next time I will make a point to stay longer. Everything was within walking distance, the castle, downtown and the parks. Excellent hotel for the money and the staff and breakfast were excellent. John Only request might be is to offer a foam pillow. I came in too late to bother the staff.

The Villa Benz was a wonderful place. We arrived at noon and our rooms were ready for us. The rooms are not large but very clean and comfortable. There was a fruit basket and a candy on the pillow - not necessary, but nice touches. There is a small parking lot at the back of the building. This is a place I would stay at again. It would be a nice place to enjoy the Christmas markets. Also, it is not to far from the Schwetzingen train station so if you do not have a car then it is fine to stay here if you travel by train.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. On a main road I initially approached with some trepidation but once round the rear the road seems to disappear. I have never stayed in a small hotel with so many gratis extras from the mini-bar to fresh fruit, coffee or tea and cold drinks on demand and a free pass to visit the Schloss and gardens across the road. The proprietor was the perfect host, always available and always pleasant. We booked to be near Heidelberg but Schwetzingen is a real treasure in itself with a beautiful town square providing ample excellent eateries and only a five minute walk through the beautiful Schloss gardens.

Friendly welcome from helpful proprietor. Well-kept room with amenities. Excellent breakfast in sunlit room. Immediately across from castle gardens with short walk to Schloßplatz and outdoor dining. Great location for Schwetzingen music festival. Easy access from A6 with on-site parking. Good value. There is some nighttime traffic. It's not bad, but a room in the rear would be quieter.

-Willkommensgruß -Stilvoll eingerichtete Zimmer -kostenlose Minibar die aufgefüllt wird -reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet -sehr zuvorkommend bei Fragen etc. Direkt an der Hauptstraße - allerdings gut gedämmt d.h. man bekommt es im Hotel nicht wirklich mit das man so nah an der Straße ist

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, die Ausstattung war mit Liebe ausgesucht. Die Besitzerin Frau Benz kümmert sich persönlich um das Wohl Ihrer Gäste. Obwohl wir spät anreisten war der Zimmerbezug kein Problem. Das Frühstücksbuffet war hervoragend. Die Zimmer sauber. Sollten wir wieder einmal in diese Gegend reisen werden wir ganz sicher wenn möglich wieder in der Villa Benz übernachten.

Lage direkt neben der Parkanlage des Schloß Schwetzingen. Parkplätze direkt hinter dem Haus. Minibar und wlan im Preis inbegriffen. Sehr zuvorkommende Bedienung/ Rezeption. Schönes Frühstücksbuffet. Betten: Matratzen sind extrem hart und unbequem. Bettdecken erzeugen Wärmestau und sind damit viel zu warm.

Der absolut tolle Service, Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter, erstklassiges Frühstücksbuffet. Es ist mir noch nie passiert, dass die Nutzung der Hausbar im Preis inbegiffen war und dass die Bar sogar nachgefüllt wurde. Ein ganz großes Kompliment an die villa BENZ.MfG Matthias Lessig
