Renowned for its stunning architecture and the world’s largest fair, Oktoberfest, Munich needs little introduction. Its vibrant cultural scene, great shopping and fantastic museums speak for themselves.
Munich has something for everyone: from historic palaces and castles, to stunning royal avenues to world class galleries and museums. Don't miss the new city hall, or Glockenspiel, in the heart of Marienplatz or the former residence of the Bavarian kings, the Residenz. Munich is also home to the world’s most famous beer hall, the Hofbräuhaus.
For great shopping, Karlsplatz is a pedestrian zone which takes up much of the city centre and the upscale area around Maximilianstrasse is yet another commercial wonderland. Munich is famous for its food too, so make sure you try the local Weißwurst, Leberkässemmeln and other popular pork dishes.
Thanks to efficient S-Bahn train, getting to the city center from Germany’s second busiest airport, Munich International Airport is quick and easy. Whether you’re looking for luxury hotels, youth hostels or comfortable apartments, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Munich visit.
Great City. Beautiful churches. Very pleasant to walk around. Interesting for those up on German history. Shopping for economy and high budgets. Need more supermarkets in downtown area if you are on a budget. Good food. Excellent Wurst. S Bahn and U Bahn easy to navigate.
I want to go back!! Oh yes. Good Museums and in good weather a beautiful Englischer Garden.

Amazing city amazing places to see and learn the culture, the history and mostly shopping. So many food options you can get. For people traveling the first time in Germany dont plan anything on Sundays as mostly everything will be closed as its an relax day for the people there

The food and beer and excellent and a lot cheaper than in the US.
Recommend the hour train to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Beautiful town, and take gondola up the Bavarian Alps.

Awesome city with beautyfull things to see.
Good food.
Good parks.
Good but complicated public transport method.
One bad thing - Full of arabs and immigrants. You hear more Arabic than Deutch on the streets.

We have made us of organised tours from Munich which were very good. As always we visited Karlplaz and Marienplaz and the surrounding which offered a lot historical sites. It is a fantastic city.
The only drawback if you travel by train is the language. Announcements are ONLY done in German which is very difficult to follow. I am sure if the authorities make something about this more travellers make use of the overland trains. It's a pity that this is so.

A Genteel and affluent city. Love the city vibes.
A Genteel and affluent city. Love the city vibes. Plenty of charming shops and plenty of shopping options for every budget in the old town. A very beautiful city. I would like to visit again and perhaps stay longer and use Munich as a base to explore the rest of Bavaria.
Very comfortable hotel located in the south west part of Munich. The hotel is located in a quiet area, approximately 25 minutes (with public transportation) far from the city center (Marienplatz) and is very close to the Machtlfinger Straße subway station. The rooms are very clean, well furnished and quiet and soundproof. Free parking slots are available in the streets close to the hotel. The hotel staff is very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Very cost-effective solution for a short stay in Munich.
Location was excellent 50m from U Bahn station. Rooms small but modern, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was GREAT!!! The best you will get in Germany. Easy to get to from the airport. They need to modify instructions from airport. At Moosach stop you must go all the way to the north end of glees and down elevator to get to U3 coming from the airport on S1. If you don’t you end up in town with no directions. However FROM the hotel to downtown Munich it is super easy. Staff was great, very helpful.
Excellent location, close to the main station and to public transport, but also in walking distance from the city centre.
It was the second time that we staid at this hotel and it has improved. The forniture in the room was new, the coloured walls make it nicer.
Breakfast is good, for the price (Munich can be very expensive on this aspect). The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large and very clean.
An affordable, nice place to stay in one of the most expensive cities in Germany.
The taxi service was excellent.
Very friendly helpful staff at the hotel and we had a large room..
Good modern shower room.
Great breakfast served at table not a buffet at present.
It is a quiet residential area of Munich near Nymphenburg Palace which has large gardens and park (worth a visit... no need to book).
It is easy to get to the city centre and there are good places to eat and drink nearby.
An ideal location for us as we were visiting family in that area of the city.
Proximity to the Ubahn was excellent, and though the location of the hotel is far from the city center, being so close to the Ubahn (subway in Munich) made getting to and from pretty much everything simple and fast and convenient (and only furthered my "Munich Experience.") Will definitely stay here again. Having a washer/dryer combo IN the room, meant I could start my laundry and go, knowing it would be done when I got back hours later.
A little gem at just a few minutes walk from the Münich city centre. Our room was very small, but its charm completely made up for that. Breakfast in the romantic court yard is a great start of the day. If you don’t feel like going into town for dinner, there is a cosy little square at 50 meters from the hotel, with a couple of cosy restaurants for outdoor dining and drinks. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.
The location is 20 minutes walk from the old city centre. There are a lot of construction works around the hotel. We have a room on the 5th floor with the balcony and the garden view. It was good. No conditioner in the room, it was hot without it. But the price in comparison with the other hotels was fantastic, the parking as well. We paid for parking 10 Euro per night, it is the cheapest what we had found.
The hotel was in a great location, within a 10 minute walk to the Munich Central Station and about a 20 minute walk to Marienplatz.
It is a very stylish hotel and the staff are friendly and helpful. The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast! It’s presented beautifully and it’s excellent!
The room we stayed in was a junior suite that looked out onto a courtyard, so it was quite.
Our stay at Classik Hotel Martinshof was good; the rooms were decorated in a classic Bavarian style which was cozy. The beds were comfortable for two people. Check-in and out was smooth; no issues and the front desk staff was very nice. It was only about a ten minute walk to the Riem train station which is really well connected to both Munich city center and Dachau.
Having stayed in Munich many times I actually like this Hotel the best so far. It is quite close to the Marienplatz but not noisy at all. Hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is great and the old rustic nature of the Hotel adds flair and selectiveness. Deluxe Rooms are really great and spacious. I loved it!
Great location, lovely hotel, nice staff and loved the €10 per room bar voucher for opting out of daily room cleaning for multiple night stay. Close to Hauptbanhof, trams and walking distance to city centre. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to lovely Munich
The selection of hot and cold food at breakfast was great.
The staff were very friendly and always happy to help.
Although there isn't lots around the hotel, it isn't far from Munich City Centre and it was only a 10min walk from my work conference, which was ideal for me.
Easy walking distance to the city centre and across the road from museum.
Very close to metro, which makes it easy to get to the airport and main stations
Hotel was clean and comfortable.
Value for money is okay, but it almost city centre, so prices are relevant
The room that was provided was excellent and customer service was superb! Location wise, it’s the best place to stay and highly recommended as it is beside the main train station. I will definitely choose Ruby Rosi Hotel Munich when I’m back here in Germany
The hotel is a little outside the city centre of Munich but perfectly located for our needs. The personnel was really welcoming and explained us everything about the COVID restrictions in Bavaria. The room was calm, with good beds.
The hotel is ideally situated next to Munich's Central Train Terminal.
City centre and shopping areas are within walking distance.
The room was excellent, very comfortable bed, good towels.
Very friendly and competent staff.
Upscale, intimate traditional boutique hotel just outside the old town. Imminently walkable to all the main sites in old Munich. Exceptional staff in all respects. Quiet and excellent.
it was conveniently located to the Munich city center. The hotel was extremely clean, great restaurant, accommodating and friendly staff, great facility. highly recommend!
The hotel has a great ambience. Very unique and cozy. It is located very close to Munich Central Station (a walking distance only) and also very close to the city centre.
