Close to the fair.
Small room with tiny bathroom. Common parts to be restored. Prices are high compared to the category of the hotel. Cleaning is not flawless.
Clean Nice deco, well presented
Room 28 was noisy, poorly lit, bed linen were poor in quality, bed was uncomfortable, breakfast room too small for the amount of guest the hotel can accommodate any one time, unfexible hours for breakfast for those attending CCH's conferences
Good location, comfortable beds, friendly staff.
Its eccentric, being the 1st floor in a building of many hotels. It has decent Wi-Fi.
The breakfast is insanely expensive for what it is: go to Dammtor station or the local shopping street for something more sensible! The rooms are very small and cramped.
The building, the breakfast, the location full of trees and free of the hastle of the city, walking distance to tourist places.
no air conditioner, we had to let the window open with out any problem.
Excellent wifi, never lost connection Excellent staff, even let me borrow a fork from the dining room. Good location, could even walk to the main station with luggage
No AC, hot at night. 13 euro for bfast is quite much.
Night mare! We have booked this hotel fort two nights due to our business trip. Also we requested the quite room. From the first look, it was too small but clean. After opening the door to the bathroom, we were glad to be able use the shower, because the door to the shower cabin couldn’t be open in full. Our room had no air condition, open windows couldn’t help, it was hot summer night and our room was perfectly located toward to the loud main street in Hamburg with a moving trains in the background. After couple of hopeless hours to fall asleep we left Hotel Wagner in the middle of the night!
Very large suite of 2 nicely decorated rooms. Very nice bathroom. Usable Baloncy. Location was good, near train station & university. Very quiet niegborhood with good restuarants with walking distance. Beautiful park across the street. Good bakery downstairs.
This was a 100 year apartment house. The elavator did not fucntion. There was no air conditioning. However, it was not needed in June. The TV had no English speaking channels. There was a very long walk down many hallways to reach our room. The dinning room was small and over priced.
loved the decor, room was very grand, clean and comfortable. staff were lovely and location was perfect. can't wait to go back to Hamburg and would definitely stay there again.
The large, quiet double room and the first-class breakfast.
Small room Very noisy
very pretty design, nice room, very clean, breakfast was very good but a bit pricy
Rooms are suites and beautiful. Location was good and right next door to a very good reasonable bakery.
It is more like a "rooming house" with individual apts as well as "hotel" rooms. For us it was fine, but for our friends on the third floor with a circuitous pattern to find their room and no working elevator some of the time, it was not good.
The location was perfect - very near to the city centre.
The walls of the room are rather thin - you can hear people walking outside your room etc.
interior design was bright, cute and welcoming. staff are really helpful. Booked single room with shared bathroom and received room in basement with full ensuite (including toilet). Location is great. Offered later check out when requested, room was ready on early arrival.
Basement rooms are not easily accessible so popping in ant out to get something is a bit difficult. Noisy rooms in the basement, they are small and the bed was right next to the adjoining room's bathroom so this woke me up. Wifi in basement was weak (also phone reception).
excellent location, very close to Dammtor station which is only one stop away from main station. staff was very friendly and helpful. wi-fi was fast.
only German tv channels
room was well appointed and clean but had an odd smell. nice linens
wifi did not work well in my room. halls decorated very oddly. breakfast was quite pricey (but optional)
The staff, the suite and the location were fabulous
Selection of items for breakfast buffet. Location. Combination of quiet room and central location. Restaurants, caffees and bars nearby.
The hotel is very conveniently situated in a green, tranquile area next to Dammtor Bahnhof. We greatly enjoyed our very comfortable room and the delicious breakfast.
The bathroom is on the small side, but nice and clean. A double door to the hallway would be perfect.
Great location close to marathon start/finnish. Facinating old Building with modern interiour. Friendly staff. Nice Price (value for Money)
Very nice place in general!
Good location for the exhibition centre. The suites are huge and very well furnished! Modern but with old world charm.
Minor points - lack of a range of toiletries e.g. hair conditioner and the shower gel / hand soap provided in dispensers was almost running out so very hard to get out. Very slippery coat hangers with no skirt clips so my skirts kept falling on the floor.
Excellent Location and very good Internet service. (Strong wifi and quick Internet speed)
The location was superb and breakfast was very good. The location, the setting of the Hotel near a park-like area, the proximity to the Botantical gardens and the easy walking distance to the underground influenced my immediate, positive reaction to Hamburg.
We paid for a superior room, which gave us the space we wanted, but we were in A5 which looked into the building's courtyard - which was nothing to look at and made the room dark. The lights in the room were bright, but still didn't make up for the feeling that this was not what I paid extra for. The upside was that there was no traffic noise and so it was very quiet.
