Very nice area, not too much tourist but that might be due...
Very nice area, not too much tourist but that might be due to Corona too. Good hiking but also at every place we’ve been hiking were children’s playground, like the hexentanzplatz etc. Easy access to the tourist attractions for the less mobile people. Thale is at the northwest edge of the Harz area.
Thale is at the northwest edge of the Harz area. There are numerous scenic footpaths as well as bike trails in the area. It is also not far from the great places such as Wernigerode, Goslar, Brocken mountain etc.ongrysPoland

Our main goal was to go hiking and enjoy the evenings with good food and drinks. The hotel exceeded our expectations. We are a loud group. The hotel staff not only made us feel welcome, but it was very obvious that they cared about how comfortable we were. Our rooms were clean and tidy, the pup was provided with an occasional treat and we were thrilled with delicious meals and hospitable atmosphere. Hot coffee waited on the breakfast table for us each morning. Tip toll!

The location was peaceful, with a big supermarket nearby and easy walking distance from all main destinations in Thale. The kitchen is very well stocked allowing guests to cook and bake anything. There is also a barbeque available in the little garden with terrace. Everything was clean and a lot of the furniture seemed very new. It was so easy to relax there after a day out walking!

We stayed in the bottom floor apartment. It is located in the outskirts of Thale right below a big hill from where it is possible to walk to Hexentantsplatz. Supermarkets are about 1 km away downhill. There is a river right outside the windows on one side, which brings the comforting sound of running water.

I had a nice sofa in the room, which I really enjoyed using after walking in the mountains. It is well located, has a simple but great breakfast (which I found really tasty and served myself many times), and overall I was happy. I will come back to Thale, and I will stay in this hotel again without a question. The lady attending in the hotel was really nice and helpful!

We as well as kids find it amusing. There are many things for kids: books, CDs, toys,... The house is clean and beds were quite nice. The weather was cold but the heaters kept us warm and comfy. The small city of Thale has very little things except the fantastic outdoors...
