The staff was friendly and attentive. The location was excellent, in Bamberg's old city--literally steps away from the cathedral and Little Venice. I was told that breakfast was included in the room rate, but was charged for it separately when I checked out. The hotel also advertised free wifi, which may or may not be the case. The connection was through Hotsplots, which my laptop never could connect through.

Central location to old town. Helpful staff! In the description, it does correctly say there is no free parking. We were advised to park in a garage about a block away and the rate was 12 eur for 24 hours. Our parking time costs 8 eur. This was the only one of our five hotels in Germany that did not have free parking. It would have been nice if they reimbursed us for all or some of our parking but I know many hotels in the middle of big cities charge for parking. Also, it would be nice to have a bath tub but we found none of our five hotels in Germany had bath tubs. The description does have a photo of a shower in a bathroom but maybe it should specify "shower only".

Totally charming right in the centre of the historic district. Wonderfully friendly staff. I assume we met the owner as well. Terrific breakfast buffet. Bonus was the abundant Christmas spirit with decorations and little favors throughout the hotel.

Because the hotel was full, we stayed in the annex, which was a 7 min walk from the main hotel. We had masses of space, though paid a lower tariff than if we'd been in the hotel. It was very clean and private. Breakfasts, taken in the hotel, were good, typically German, and the evening meal was a delight. Everything was very authentic and extremely good value. Hotel Weierich is right in the centre of the 'Old Town', just where you want to be, so is perfectly situated.

The staff was welcoming and the rooms were perfect! We had a suite that had two adjoining rooms, perfect for my husband and I and our one year old daughter. The rooms are sizable and the value can not be beat. The breakfast was wonderful as well which was included in the rate. It is within a short walk of all of the tourist sights in Bamberg.

Loved the ambience of the hotel - cute niknaks everywhere, friendly staff. The location was fantastic too. The rooms themselves were spotlessly clean and more than comfortable.

The hotel, a 600 year-old building in the heart of Bamberg's Altstadt, is full of character. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfast was outstanding. Good value -- we would stay again.

Excellent staff, very helpful at all times. Spacious restaurant for breakfast. Prime location in centre of City. Street noise throughout the night was bad, with motor scooter noise, cars and drunken pedestrians passing in street below or adjoining streets. Noise was reduced when window was closed, but in summer the room becomes unbearably hot.

Our apartment was a 10 minute walk from the main hotel and Bamberg's old historic city centre.We liked the separate good kitchenette and its facilities and the modern separate bathroom. The room was a good size accommodating twin beds, a ding table and chairs and tv. We enjoyed the quiet location and the balcony overlooking the rear garden. No onsite parking or parking in front. We had to drive to a back street to park free.

I loved the apartments that our family stayed in. We had 4 grown children with us and the accommodations were just perfect. It was a very long walk to get breakfast. We opted out of the breakfast on the second morning. There is a bakery very close, so there is little need to pay the e 5 per person, if you bring your own coffee.
