Great restaurant and breakfast. helpful staff. Really pleasant experience
Lovely "designer" adaptation of 90-year old farm/winery. Large modern bathroom with rain shower. Excellent cuisine including in-house wines. Charming staff. Convenient car-park.
Little things like radiators not turned on; no UK channels or magazines; no armchair in room; no bedside phone; rather slow meal service (though I was late); cigarette smoke in Reception; being given the worst room over-looking flat roof with air vents and blank wall. Even so, the pluses outweigh the minuses.
Excellent value for money with the special deal through booking.com. Modern combined with traditional style hotel
Breakfast was good though some more cooked choices other than eggs would have been nicer.
Restaurant quality Restaurant staff Excellent bread and pastries Very well orchestrated salads in terms of flavors and textures Modern hotel room Amazing bathtub!!!
Owner never greated us even when she was in the same room Bed that squeaked every time I rolled over Wine list did not have many older vintages that would reflect the quality of a two star Michelin restaurant.
Though pricey the gourmet restaurant is truly excellent! The hotel is a nice match between traditional German and contemporary styles. The breakfast is excellent as well.
Excellent selection of wine from their vineyard Very comfortable beds and clean well furnished rooms
Had to drive to get into Trier
A long way out of Trier, not able to eat in hotel restaurant, which when you have travelled a long way should be made aware of in advance so would have been able to book! No bottled water in room, very little choice of cooked breakfast and little interest from staff, poor value for money
The relatively new building is of modern design and very nice. It blends well with an older, more traditional part. The room was very clean and the be was comfortable. All of the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The family that own and manage the hotel and restaurant are delightful people. As nice as the people and place are, the real attraction is the gourmet restaurant. Delightful, creative, often wonderfully surprising dishes came one after another. At this time the restaurant has two Michelin stars, I'm sure the third one will soon come. The dinner I had was easily among the best I've everhad.
A very modern, well designed new building that mixed well with old traditional Guest House next door.
Nice modern room, excellent breakfast, very high standard of food in the restaurant.
Rather expensive, staff and service a bit inflexible and over-formal. Our lack of German may have been part of the problem.
Super good food, big rooms.
Restaurant was fantastic. Rooms spacious and modern. Hotel has an amazing juxtaposition of modern and traditional.
Outside the city centre but it is a lovely stroll in.
staffs are nice.
most of things.
great resort area location. restaurant down the street along with 2 in the hotel. breakfast was wonderful. rooms were spacious and great!
parking was iffy, but free on the street. 2 lanes down to 1 lane on the main street. about 10-15 minutes to downtown
great breakfast selection, large modern rooms. stayed in a junior suite.
lacking of parking if you arrive during the night, but when the restaurants closes down the street, more spots become available
Show them self as a designer hotel. Then when we arrive to our room it's in old German stile with pine furniture. Not even close to how the hotel present themself on their website. Beds very poor. Second bed on a room one floor up with access through a very steep and narrow staircase with no rails. The upper floor was like a Finnish sauna. Wood everywhere and very low ceiling height.
