This hotel also has a spa, with various thermal facilities (steam room, sauna) plus small indoor and outdoor pools. Nothing bad about any of this, except we had no idea how to use the thermal facilities (our bad!).
Fantastic location, 5 min walk from Marienplatz with buses running in loops all day to hiking trailheads, and 15 min from Garmisch-Partenkirchen Hbf main railroad station. Decor was understatedly chic - even though it was summer I could imagine how lovely it would be in winter. Spectacular breakfast buffet and dinner were included in price. Dinner always had 4 options, at least one vegetarian, plus soup and salad bar and dessert. Free bike rentals so could explore vicinity including beautiful river flowing through town. Neighborhood is classic Bavaria of white washed houses with dark wood balconies dotted with pink and red geraniums. Birds chirp and dawn and dusk. Snow dappled mts ring the horizon. Also had cakes, soup, sandwiches and tea available all afternoon. The staff were all delightful and cheerful and helpful and patient with our being unable to speak German.
