Hotel Wender  

The hotel was very clean. Food was good.

Biggest problem was no heat. We arrived and the room was about 55 degrees Fahrenheit. We turned on the heat and got the room to about 63- 64 degrees and then by 10 pm the heat was turned off and the temp dropped to maybe 50 degrees during the night. This was way too cold. They turned the heat on about 5:30 but it did not help much as it was very cold outside. I would reccomend this hotel to Polar bears but not to anybody coming to Germany. There is no lift in the hotel, so if you are a bit diabled please find another hotel. This feature should be mentioned in the hotel description. Dinner took forever. If we would have known this, we would have gone to a restaurant. Food was fine but the wait was too long. After travelling to Germany for over thirty years I think this will rank as one of the worst!

The superb facilities friendly greetings and comfort of the hotel. The evening meal was good but the breakfast was excellent. We only stayed for one night since we were on our way to Austria. We would like to stay longer and investigate the surroundings. We will certainly stay there again next year at about the same time, again on our way to Austria.

Huge spacious rooms. Very clean and comfortable.

The breakfast didn't begin until 8 A.M. on the weekend. We had to leave before breakfast was served. It would be nice if the breakfast began at 7 A.M.

We were traveling with our kids - ages 8, 5, 3, 4mos and niece who is 14. The front desk process was quick and easy. Our room was spacious and very comfortable -- baby in our own pack'n'play although I read the hotel has them available. The kids shared the big pull-out couch, niece on the single bed and us on the double bed (two singles together European style) - very comfy beds and pretty woodwork moldings all over the hotel. Clean bathroom with shower and eating nook were convenient. All-in-one cleanser is the only toiletry provided but my niece and I both have long hair and for a soap-shampoo-conditioner, it actually worked just fine. A pleasant surprise! The room's big floor space was great for our kids, lots of room to be kids. When we opened the windows for fresh morning air, there was a bad smell outside that I had read about, but since it's December and we were only there one night it wasn't a deal breaker. We caught the Rothenberg night watchman's tour Fri night and then after a good standard European buffet breakfast there in the hotel, we headed back to Rothenberg to enjoy the Christmas market for the day. Definitely recommend for traveling families.

The dinning area was very new. Very clean and tidy. The food at dinner was just wonderful. Very busy staff but had time to attend to us.

Had trouble connecting to lan.

Large nicely decorated room. Good restaurant. Free parking.

The room is really big. I love the view from the balcony.

It is not convenient to connect to the Internet. Only one cable connection is provided in the room, which cannot be accessed by more than one devices or Apples. I traveled with a Tchibo internet stick, but it couldn't find any signal there. It will be better if the hotel provides a wireless connection, even it is charged.

Location is very good because it is near the motorway. Room is vey comfortable and stuff is friendly.

The internet wasn't quickly. And farm which is near the hotel smells badly.

The rooms are nice and clean, also very spacious. We had a good nice sleep and the breakfast was good.

Absolutely great hotel! Staff is extremely helpful and solve any problem as soon as possible. The quadruple room is spacious and comfortable. Moreover, live music is performed in the evenings at the bar and beer is quite cheap and tasty:)

A good base for exploring part of the German "Romantic Road"
