Brilliant location, within ten minutes walk to just about every major tourist attraction in Berlin. The hotel is very luxurious, and the food is excellent. We ordered room service a number of times when the baby was sleeping and their service was prompt and friendly. We also got a fantastic deal with booking.com so value for money was unbelievable. The main complaint is the Internet charges in these hotels are exorbitant, at 25 euros per day. Also, buffet breakfast was 30 pp, which is on the higher side and is t odds with their alacarte menu' where you can have a fantastic breakfast for under 15 euros per person. Would recommend travelers to get bfast included if possible.

The bed was amazing! I seriously could have stayed in bed all day if all of the history of Berlin wasn't calling me out to explore. I chose this hotel, even though it was a bit more pricey than some of the other choices I was originally considering, because it was central, large enough that at any time of the day or night I knew people would be around, the proximity to an U-Bahn station (literally 100 feet or so away) and the convenience and safety of valet parking. Safety was my #1 "concern" as a single female traveler and I never felt unsafe on Friedrichstr. Or in/around the hotel itself.

I found the location an ideal base for access to most of the major attractions in Berlin. It is surrounded by a vast range of quality shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and efficient. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms quiet and well air-conditioned. The breakfast buffet was extensive and well cooked. The cost of the breakfast at €30 is too much but even worse is the charge for using the internet. Also the dim lighting in the foyer makes the hotel feel dull.

Excellent room. Comfortable beds.Very helpful staff. Very convenient location for sightseeing. High charges for internet access. Confusion on bottles of water available in the room.A Note implied they were free to use. They were not. They did reduce the cost after we complained.

Beautiful design, first class service, superb food throughout the day, a top-notch spa with a proper hot sauna. No tea and coffee making facilities, and charging for Internet access is really not acceptable any more

The Westin is in the heart of Berlin - Friedrichstrasse, which is in my opinion closed i.e. most central between Kurfürstendamm and Alexanderplatz, besides the fact this is the main street of Berlin. The Westin has allure and is very comfortable to be. What we liked best was the lounge area outside. This is very personal and as I am a perfectionist myself, I could mention some points (details) to be improved, but overall it is good and certainly would go back.

The Central location on Friedrichstr. in 'Mitte' is ideal for sightseeing, dining and shopping. Tram and tube stations are just round the corner, as is the the Brandenburg Tor located on 'Unter den Linden', which is only a few minutes walk away. Staff are extremely friendly and happy to help without being over-bearing. The breakfast buffet is also worth every penny and I recommend this to get your day off to a good start. The hotel even produces its own honey from bees that are kept on the top of the building. This fresh honey is available at the breakfast buffet. The decor is top-notch with comfortable rooms and clean bathrooms, and a beautifully designed atmospheric lobby area featuring a bar and grand central stair case leading up to the 1st floor conference/dining rooms. This lobby also has a central grand light-well with circular atrium from which you can look down (or up) to appreciate the atmosphere of the hotel. The Spa on the 1st floor is fully equipped with 3 different sauna installations, a circular indoor pool and a Jacuzzi as well as gym. The spa treatments and massages on offer are also executed with care and attention and def. worth a visit to relax. The package we booked included a souvenir piece of the berlin wall, a section of which is located directly outside the hotel for hotel guests to chip a piece away and take home with them. I highly recommend this hotel to the discerning traveller who appreciates comfort and good service.

Berlin is a great city to visit on many levels and The Westin is at its heart. Everything worth seeing is within walking or easy-to-use-public- transport distance. The "Currywurst and Champagne Speciality" sounded a non starter to "Brits" but was superb! Cost of drinks. For example a small beer at The Westin costs 6 Euro and only 2.5 to 3 Euro at several places within two blocks. There is a reduction during "happy hour" but so is there elsewhere.

The breakfast was very good and the long hours of availability were great. The 4 guest lifts were fast and efficient, The glass doors on the lifts allows one to see if lift is full or empty as it is arriving. The main staircase is beautiul and welcoming. the concierge service by Andre was very good. Cycle bikes were extremely hard to hire in Berlin due to the good weather and if the hotel had more to call on for guests it would be great. The prices for simple foods such as tea and coffee were way too high at 8 euros. I would like to have seen the garden in use. It does not seem as it has been used latelty although tiling works appear to be in progress when we were there

Location was excelent for New Year eve's celebration Did not like the two twin beds put side by side to become a double. Mattresses were too soft as well. Was expecting a proper double bed but they didn't have rooms.

We picked a 5 star hotel specifically as we thought it would be luxurious and were willing to spend the extra money. We were, however, disappointed overall. Although the decor was fine it was not "delux" as advertised. Tthe staff were very good but we felt that the hotel overcharged for what was simply a room. everything was extra and overpriced again. Even room service (the most basic service customers can ask for) was subject to a charge/delivery fee. We genuinely believe that we would have got far better value for money in a quality 3 star hotel where normal services (room service, water/tea/coffee in the room and breakfast) are all all included as par for the course. As a result we would not recommend the hotel to friends/family. There was poor value for money as a whole.

The facilities, staff and service were faultless, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone. The "extras" are very expensive: drinks in the hotel, breakfast, dinner. But there are many cafes/bars/restaurants nearby which are a lot more reaonsable. This wouldn't put me off from staying here again though.
