I suspect that I got a very cheap night as it was very late when I booked. I would have been happy to pay more, the hotel is very modern and clean, beds very comfortable and a superb en-suite
excellent location next to the train station and easy to get to all the sights. helpful English-speaking staff
maybe you could put a small electric fan in the rooms in the summer months because the tram outside makes it noisy to keep the window open
Location was brilliant, easy to get around, really nice, pleasant place to stay.
It is a little loud at night, but it's really not too bad. Wifi on my phone went a bit funny, but worked perfect on le iPad.
very close to the station friendly staff comfy bed
no bathroom on my floor
Minutes away from the main train station. Walking distance to the city center.
The location is a couple of blocks away from the main railwy station and there are many shops nearby where you can buy whatever you need. This includes some supermarkets. The WiFi is quite good, you can have skype meetings. The room is clear, restrooms clean.
The only dissappointing aspect of this hostel is the staff and management. I paid with credit card, not mine but my wife. During the months prior my travel, the hostel charged the reservation to my wife's card. I used her card because the hostel was having problems with my card. Though they sent me emails many times to say me that they have problems to charge the fee to the credit card (when I say may times, lets say three o four), they did not tell me that they will want to see the card when arriving. On the one hand, everything was okay when charging, but six weeks later when I get there, they told me that I must show them the card as "I could have stolen it" (they used this phrasing). It was funny after the sequence of emails where I provide them with my card and my wife's card many times that they did not warm me about this. So the staff member tried to return me the money to my credit card, but instead he charged me twice, and got upset for his mistake. Since he charged me twice, the returned me the money twice. Since I thoug that he was al least very impolite when telling me that I could have stolen the card, I told him that his mistakes cost me money as every transaction has a fee also. He got upset and he said "you never make a mistake" and gave me three euros. The point here: On the one hand, they are very strict on payment policies, in such a way that they contect you by email and so on so that they get what they want, but on the other hand, they do not communicate their requirement and if you do not fulfill them it is your problem. This is somehow typical in German hostels. In this case, I might have had few cash .... And if I have to pay for my "mistake" of not taking the card Why should not they pay for their mistakes? Still yet, I lost money due to the exchamge rate.
Location! Free wifi worked well.
Just opposite the main railway station, takes 5 minutes to walk there. Room is clean and comfortable.
a short (and pleasant) walk along the river to all the major attractions, and you can literally see the train station from the hotel. Staff were excellent and spoke very good English. Room was compact with good shower and good internet connection
Close to the hoffbahnhof
Ants in the room. Rooms was extremely hot even though it was cool out. Bed was at an angle. Staff was annoyed that they were being bothered when they wanted to browse the web.
Handy for the trains, if that's an issue. The hotel has style, which is impressive given the price. Room was fine. Definitely recommended in terms of value for money.
With no A/C, but lots of traffic noise coming in through the open window, I would have loved a ceiling fan. ( Stayed here in July. ) Earplugs essential given the noise. Not very light-proof curtains. No fruit or croissant/pastry at breakfast. Loads of cheese, but that's not really what I want first thing in the AM. These are all quibbles though. Overall it's a good place.
Really, really near train station, only about one minute walk.
Noisy at night, can't sleep well
Good location. Not expensive. Friendly staff.
One WC per 3 floors. Serious?
WiFi is included for one device only ! I had a laptop, a tablet and a smartphone, but staff refused to provide code for my three devices.
The hotel was 100 m from the train station. Exactly where we wanted to be.
It got really hot in the room when the outside temperature reached 30. Opening the window resulted in a lot of noise.
Location abd wifi are good.
The room We stayed faced to the street, the tram is very nosiy during whole night.
Proximity to Central station Simple but perfectly functional facilities Quiet room thanks to double windows
Great location. Helpful staff.
The bed was just awful. I've slept in some pretty uncomfortable beds and this was one of the worst, both my partner and I agreed. Very uncomfortable resulting in back aches. Insanely loud, too; every time anyone moved it made tons of noise-- not so romantic. Also the bottom sheet didn't fit, they'd used two top sheets tucked instead of a real bottom sheet? Besides the bed the room was not very clean. Lots of mysterious stains on the walls and furniture. There was an ant problem by the bathroom- we had ants in the room the whole time. The sink (drain) smelled of rotten fish. The room was SMALL. We are not large people and didn't have an excessive amount of things with us, we could hardly move around. It made it an uncomfortable stay.
Room design, very near train station
Wi-fi was excellent and free for our stay. The hotel was so central, near the main train station, supermarket and shopping streets. During our stay in Germany we stayed 6 diffierent hotels, and among these hotels breakfast was perfect at Colour Hotel (many kind of cheese, kind of honey, butter, good coffee and nice lady at the kitchen). Room was sufficient for 4 people (basic room, 4 seperate bed).
A little noisy because of tram on the street. While tram was working there was swinging at the room. Curtains must be more stylish.
Room was too hot as the sun shines directly into it. No aircon or wider opening windows made it Very rude and unhelpful Receptionist
Too small room...
Proximity to station and restaurants.
Double room was too small. No tables/chairs. No air conditioning which means you have to use a pedestal fan if it gets too hot, and its not really helpful.
The location of your facility was the best part for us along with the room arrangement. The room was very clean and comfortable. Thanks for sharing your city with us on our trip.
