The hotel is very Simple but nice to spend a comfortable night and find a good breakfast in the morning. Near to the u-bahn station and to the Central station.
Good location. Decent shower.
The place smelt quite bad at times. Double booked us so we had to leave two nights early.. Then asked us to leave when we sat in the eating area using the wifi to find a new place to stay. A couple of the workers/owners(?) were quite rude and did not make us feel welcome
Good location, cheap price
Personal dosent speak English, they charge me for extra room that I dind't book though they return money back this issue was not nice. Poor breakfast.
Friendly people at the reception, good for low budget travels, good position
no lift, but narrow stairs. Shared Bath and WC are old equipped.
Clean room with an okay standard. Pretty good breakfast and good staff. You have to put this into what you actually pay. I mean 2 people, good room with brakfast was 52 eur. Amaizing budget value.
For that price. Nothing.
close to main station
staff was not very friendly
This hotel is in a particularly seedy part of town, sandwiched between various brothels and strip clubs, out of the way of the more "touristy" end of the Reeperbahn. Additionally, we paid for a car space and there was none for us upon our arrival and it took considerable arguing with the owner to get one in a garage beside a Turkish restaurant. They wanted us to get up at 8 and move our car from the main road. Our room, which although was budget, was awful - the shared toilet was disgusting and had not been properly cleaned, the TV didn't work and the place was generally shabby and unkempt. We didn't feel safe in the area and decided to move on to a different location for our second night and were refused a refund.
The place is falling apart in terms of decor and needs some renovation. Very friendly staff
Central location. Room clean and comfortable and simple but good breakfast
Doesn't look very inviting for the outside. Quite expensive but a lot of places were booked up so there wasn't a lot of choice. You cannot change or cancel once booked and you pay up front. I tried to cancel over a month before going but wasn't able to.
We booked the room for three nights, but extended with one night. This was no problem (we checked with the staff), since the room would be available for one night extra. To our astonishment, the last night we were rejected at the hotel. Our belongings were packed by hotel staff and removed from the room in our absence. So we were send out onto the street in the middle of the night. The reason for this was that we hadn't paid in advance for the final night. We were under the impression we could pay on check-out, and the hotel staff never mentioned this wouldn't be possible. Since there were still other rooms free (they actually offered us for a much higher price, hoping we would accept because we had nowhere to go), there was absolutely no reason to clear out our room. I've never been treated this badly at any hotel. If at all possible, you should not book a room with these crooks.
Great staff Near the main station
Poor facilities, broken wardrobe One bathroom only for the whole hotel, not convenient for rooms with shared bathroom
Signs everywhere about what you should or shouldnt do
Loud, dirty rooms, share horrible bathroom. Never again.
the bathromm was situated 3 stories higher than our room. the staff wasn't even trying to be nice.
Vibrant Turkish neigbourhood at night with good mix of people. Nice twin room with balcony. Reliable Wi-Fi.
Steep staircases. No possibility for packed breakfast if you go earlier than breakfast time. I had asked for this possibility when I booked but had my (negative) reply only when I checked in. Staff in the morning was reluctant even for hot water. Basically I had chosen this property because it was near the central station and my train early. But the gain was relative. I better stayed in a much more friendly property Altona, paid less have something to eat or drink and leave Hamburg with a nicer feel, using the s Bahn to reach the Haupbahnhof. It is life you cannot know in advance where is the good find. As for me I remember the staff at check-in warning me that I would have to pay more if I invited someone in. That was not my intention. I was not coming in to have a night with someone else! My only concern, expressed through booking.com message box, was breakfast!
You get what you paid for, nothing more, nothing less. It's close to the city center and it's attractions.
The rate for the late check-out has been changed from one day to another, and we didn't get the receipt. The breakfast isn't varied at all.
The fact I was near to the main station
I booked a room with a double bed and was shown to a room that was more like a dormitory with single beds, it was dirty, especially the toilet. When I spoke to the manager about this we ended up having an argument about 2 single beds being a double, as I had paid 140 Euro for a night I told him he was wrong and I wanted what I had booked, he reluctantly agreed and moved me to a more suitable room, but still not worth the money, wafer-thin pillows, hard towels, poor cleaning, no air con, fridge, kettle. The breakfast was limited and they ran out of yoghurts and boiled eggs on my first day. My room was up three flights of a narrow winding staircase. Overall, exceptionally poor value for money, unprofessional staff, and a huge disappointment, would definitely avoid this place at all costs.
Breakfast is great. Location is good in the point of view of sightseeing.
Staff was very friendly, the man in the reception didn't speak english, but luckily I knew how to speak littlebit (but enough) german. The location is great, very close to the HBF and busterminal, also grocery store other side of the road. All you needed in the was in the room and it was spacy.
the man in the reception didn't speak english, but luckily I knew how to speak littlebit (but enough) german. I got my room 2 hours late because they hadn't cleaned it yet. In my bed was someone's long hairs, the soapbottles were empty, No elevator, They cleaned my room and left the cleaning-sprays etc to the room.
+ Staff was very kind & friendly
- My room was located on the 4th floor & hotel doesn't have an elevator - Curtains let pass light + internal walls are untight - Many hairs in the drain of the (private) shower. - House keeping knocked on my door as they wanted to clean my room at 9.30am.
Towels were forgotten one day
70 Euros for one night for a mattress on the 5th floor of a building in a bad area of the city is not absolutely honest, they are thieves. 5 floors without elevator no internet in the rooms dilapidated rooms dirty and malfunctioning bathrooms terrible area and highly not recommended
there was only cold water in shower
The room with own bathroom was clean and it had a little balcony too. Very nice pillows and blankets! The breakfast could have been better but the price was so low that I can't complain about that. Helpful staff.
No elevator and room was on the 4th floor. Noises sound very clearly from the corridor and next rooms.
cleaniness, no lift,
