Hotel Wittelsbach am Kurfürstendamm

Hotellet ligger til i en stille og rolig gate, men med noe trafikkstøy tidlig om morgenen. Like rundt hjørnet ligger U-bahn som bringer deg rundt i Berlin til en billig og grei måte. Minus er at det ikke er parkering inne, men for 5 euro i døgnet kan du stå på gaten ved hjelp av et kort som hotellet har laget. Hyggelig resepsjonsbetjening.

The lift was rather old and floor wobbled and I was a little nervous using it.

Location of the hotel is very comfortable and quiet, close to subway station. 10 minutes walking to Kurfuerstendamm. Restaurants and grocery store are close, if you want some meals. Hotel staff is obliging, hotel is clean. We had a very pleasant stay.

It was in a good location, within easy walking distance to the Zoo/Aquarium. The staff were very friendly.

It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities within the room.

This rather basic hotel offers good value for the money (we payed 99 euros a night for a quadruple room). Breakfast is good, but the shower-cabin should have a little more room. The fourth 'bed' in the room was a sleeping-couch.

Great location. A few minutes walk to metro station. Staff so helpful and nice. We had a very early flight to catch and they called a taxi and allowed us to have a little breakfast at 6 am.

The walls are paper thin. You heard everything from the toilet lid being lifted, followed by the toilet being flushed approximately 20 seconds later to entire conversations beld held. Hotel is fine for the price, but bring your earplugs if you expect to get a full, interrupted night of sleep.

Very clean. Very comfortable, spacious bedrooms. Friendly staff. Generous breakfast. Location good. Overall, it was completely adequate for the purpose of my visit (mixture of business and holiday break) and very good value for money.

Internet very expensive so didn't use. Reception area decor not very attractive- I got a bad impression when I walked in initially although I was very happy with the hotel in the end. No tea or coffee in the bedrooms. No lounge area. Difficult to get tourist information from reception staff although they were very polite and friendly at all times.

We appreciated the quietness of the rooms and the rich breakfast. Furthermore, the hotel is well served by public transports.

location: Stone's throw away from U7 konstanzstrasse station yet on a quiet street. Kaiser supermarket very close thus very handy! within walking distance of restaurants/takeaway (would recommend Rimini for takeaway) at Oliverplatz. Very pleasant staff who had no difficulty communicating in English. Good Brekky! Internet Cafe close by at 1 euro per hour!

Wireless internet does not reach the rooms upstairs. In this era you need it for several purposes! If you want to use it need to bring your laptop to the lobby! No attached bar to the hotel. Furnishings in the room/toilet just about satisfactory for a 3 star grade. Could do with an electric kettle in the room to make tea/coffee after a long day or first thing in the morning before going down for breakfast!

Hotel located in a quiet area but very close to U-Bahn stations. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent room and wonderful buffet breakfast. We thought it was very good value and enjoyed our stay.

Close to U-Bahn Konstanzer Strasse (app. 3 minutes walk). Good rooms, clean and large. Pretty good breakfast in clean front room facility. Also the streets south of Kurfürstendamm had a great diversity of restaurants (mainly italian) and pubs which are well worth checking out.

Sounds from adjacent room (were a quite upset baby stayed) was a bit loud at times. However there was absolutely no noise from traffic or from the rest of the neighbourhood so this is the only disadvantage worth mentioning.

Clean and quiet. Nice breakfast.

You get the feeling that is somehow old.
