We arrived at the hotel in pouring rain. In fact it had been raining for days.
We were a little cold and looking forward to a comfy nights stay in a warm hotel & that's exactly what we got.
The shower was hot, the room warmed up in minutes & the beds with new white sheets & fluffy soft duvet made for an excellent nights sleep.
Our room was spacious , with lots of windows & a balcony.
The included breakfast was also excellent. Great strong coffee, fresh crispy rolls with meats and cheeses plus cereals , yoghurt and fruits.
The dining room overlooks the lake & opens up onto an outdoor terrace which on a warm clear day would be lovely to sit there & ponder.
The hotel is only a few minutes walk to the centre of town and the ferry departure point.
The owner, & I wish i could remember his name , was the perfect host. Very friendly & welcoming & more than happy to provide tips on the local area.
I would say the overall standard of the guest house would rate as 3 star.
The hard furnishings, bathrooms, carpets etc.. are a tad dated & could do with renewal , however like I said, sheets, duvets and beds were so comfortable.
This hotel is fantastic value for money Go there, stay , just don't expect a palace!
We would definitely stay there again.
