Our room was a spacious suite, facing the street with a partial view of mountains from a small balcony. Elegant entrance and stairway and there was a lift from the lobby. Breakfast standard and adequate. Plenty of warm water and very clean. Staff friendly and helpful with useful local knowledge.
No wi- fi in room . This could be purchased but was a little expensive. No tea/coffee facilities in room but there was a vending machine in lobby. Neighbouring cafe opens late, coffee available there.
Great location Lovely style
Central Locations of the Hotel is good, the staff are friendly and the Breakfast good.
Hotel is a little dated and tired but clean. Shocked that Wifi was an extra 8 euros and parking 5!
Excellent location near town centre for choice of dining, post office nearby, laundrette next door, could walk from train and bus stations but didn't, discount card was included in price.
Breakfast was a bit limited for choice
Bacon on breakfast bar undercooked.
Our room with a balcony had a beautiful view of the mountains. It was a short walk to the center of town and all the shops and restaurants (although the best restaurant by far was right next door called the Hubertus). The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was not cramped although the bathroom was a bit on the small side....but clean and modern. Breakfast was good with an excellent attentive server. Thanks!
Parking could be an issue. Using the few spaces the hotel has cost 5 Euro a night. Otherwise you had to feed the meter at the public parking lots or pay for parking in the nearby garage. WiFi also costs 5 Euro a day.
Great location and very helpful staff. Breakfast was pretty standard. The room was simple but comfortable.
Perfect location, very nice wiev from the balcony/room. Friendly staff.
Friendly Staff Clean room Good breakfast
Location and cleanliness
No wifi throughout the hotel.
Friendly staff, launderette next door, central location close to train station, good breakfast, nice views, quiet
Lack of free wifi, dated decor
Very friendly young man at reception in the evenings and quite friendly breakfast woman.
Above all, the manager is unbearable. He is so disagreeable that his behaviour is not to be believed. The breakfast is not at all good, both in choice & freshness. Far too expensive for such out-dated rooms, tired-looking breakfast, and horrible service. Keep looking and don't settle for this place.
Friendly, professional staff Very clean and tidy Other travelers have commented on the breakfast, but we thought it was fine for a "continental plus" meal.
Travelers coming in July and August need to know that like most hotels here, there is no air conditioning and the hotel does not provide fans. Better bring your own or buy one locally.
No free wifi. Come on its 2014.
Breakfasts were barely adequate (stale bread, tired selection each of 3 mornings we were there); staff unhelpful with simple requests, never could seem to offer positive solution to whatever was asked, such as to make the extra bed for 3rd person less like a wooden board, very noisy room.
everything about the town the hotel etc.
This hotel has everything you will need - good location for getting to the bus as well as the old town, excellent breakfast, very quiet room, lots of light in the room, balcony with a great view of the mountains, and very friendly staff.
nice staff, beautiful location
Definitely an older 3 star hotel but the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was great to have a laundry next door. It has been opened to the public so you have to content with more usage than if just open to the hotel. The elevator was out of order our last day due to the high temperatures so we had to carry our luggage downstairs. We paid extra for a parking space out back of the hotel and it was worth the cost. The hotel was in walking distance of shops, grocery stores, and restaurants. The breakfast was okay but nothing to rave about. I read one review before booking that said they only had sliced bread; however, when we were there, they offered all types of rolls. The woman handling the buffet was very helpful.
We were there during a very hot period so our room facing the mountains received the morning sun and it was hot. We could have used a fan.
Beautiful old building kept well. Parking is a problem but not that bad. Breakfast was very good. Staff very friendly.
Hotel old not clean furniture old
The elevator did not work when we got there which was a negative. We were given a room on the third floor which my wife could not manage due to the stairs and a back issue. When I brought this to the attention of the desk, we were quickly relocated to a first floor room. This room was a balcony suite which had a great view of the mountains and we were upgraded at no additional cost. Great customer service! We actually ended up staying an extra day because we enjoyed it so much. I've seen some of the negative reviews on here and and have some advice. Be nice to people and they will be nice to you!
THe location was good, the breakfast was decent. We enjoyed the stay.
The beds were hard.
Nice hotel with comfort location, nice service, clean and silent room.
Convenince for our route we were taking. Very helpful, we called to say we were held up. Asked for no steps and was emailed to arrage 'best can do' which was only 3-4 steps.
No restaurant, even for breakfast. Think they will be apartments. Room was not 'finished' but will be to a good standard judging by what was done, were possibly put in the lowest available at my request even though not quite finished. Despite that it was a few Euros more than the advertised apartment first booked !
