The location was good.
Not suited for international travellers, as there are no other payment options than bank transfer.
The location is difficult to beat. Right on the edge of the old town - a short walk to the Christmas markets, the amazing cathedral, restaurants and at the base of the small mountain overlooking the town.
Car space. We booked a car park - an extra 10€. However, the space is so small, its actually smaller than the car - not kidding. We're using what the hire company calls an 'economy size car' - and it doesn't fit - even if it did, there would be no way to get the doors open. I even got a note from the agent telling me to park in the space - literally demanding the impossible. Don't pay extra for the car space - unless you're on a motorbike, you vehicle won't fit.
The decor was modern and the bathroom a good size . The owners were very helpful. It was warm and comfortable in a good location.
This apartment block doesnt have a lift and the apartment is on the top floor.
The apartment location was ideal.
Nothing, everything was good.
it would have risen to excellent if wifi was available.
Spacious apt, backing on to the Black Forest. Our 2 boys (13 and 8) had a great time on the adventure courses in the BF!
No access to clothes washing facilities. Dingy looking apartment block and stairwell. Apartmentt was fine.
The apartment is very clean and neat . It's right behind the center. If u only want to explore Freiburg it's the perfect location. If u have a car it's a perfect location too but not if ur dependant on the railway lines. If you are tired in living in hotels it's the perfect option
The only issue is the key pick up point . Which is all the way on the other side of town and no where close to the apartment . The apartment is not close to the main train station and is a good 20 min walk.
the location is great, about 5 mins far from the cathedral. there is daily market around the cathedral and getting fresh food ingredients is easy.
the rooftop flat's floor vibrates too much. to get the keys I had to go to the other side of the city, like 2-3 kms far from the flat itself.
With a 2 year old child we were based on top floor apt with no lift No wifi or broadband facility Lack of availability and ability to contact management company No change of towels or laundry facilities Would not recommend this apt
location is quite good. Right next to the funicular train up the hill to a lovely park, forest and cafe at the top of the hill. Apartment is clean and had a balcony. The apartment is fairly roomy and is clean and tidy. There is also a small but nice balcony, it only looked over the rear car park but was still nice to sit outside.
The first issue was that we turned up only to find I had to pick the keys up at a hotel a few miles away. Not really what you want to find after a long journey with children. Also when finally reading the email (which I admit I hadn't originally bothered with) it said we had to pick up the keys before 6 and it was 6:30 so were quite worried but there was actually no issue. We then found there is no parking at the apartment so you have to pay (if you find a space) and you could easily have quite a walk. Again, not something you want with luggage and children. If you stay at the weekend then parking is free so you just need to find a space. We paid quite a lot for the apartment and this was supposed to the highlight of the trip but for me it was a but disappointing because whilst Freiberg is quite nice, the apartment is run as a business i.e. someone has bought a load of apartments, painted them white and packed them full of Ikea beds and kitchen equipment so whilst its a bed for the night, don't expect the apartment to represent the character of Freiburg or the black forest which is a shame. The sofa in the living room was a single ikea futon so was uncomfortable, cheap and no good for a family of 4. I found the price very expensive but I think that this is just this area which seems generally pricey.
what a lovely location, stayed here for my sons wedding.great area to be near everything, and not to far from our son.apartments were excellent would stay here again
coudn,t fault anything
Good location within very easy walking distance of the old town of Freiburg. Good size apartment for 3 or 4 people with a nice balcony and outdoor furniture.
Had wifi router but not given password so couldn't use.
Beautiful place to stay, and we were lucky enough to have our own courtyard. Excellent location, just far enough out of the city to avoid the hustle and bustle, but close enough to easily get involved in the famous night life of Amsterdam.
Really liked the space and light and convenience of the place. We had excellent internet access. Everything was clean and well functioning. The member of staff who booked us in and the cleaner (who waited silently out on the doormat fifteen minutes before we were due to book out) were perfectly polite and accommodating. Freiburg is a great little town and cable car into the Black Forest is a must.
Not much useful information included in the flat (nearest supermarket would have been useful) but lots of rules. The constant reminders to leave on time, where to put (and not to put) the rubbish and to be aware that we shouldn't park because we hadn't booked parking (we didn't even take a car!) did made it all feel a tad unfriendly which is a shame.
location very good
no laundary available at facility or anywhere near facility
Not clean enough
The apartment is spacious and well equipped. It benefitted from a balcony. The location was ideal being close to all the towns facilities. The staff were very quick in responding to my queries. I will book the same apartment on my next visit.
I would prefer to pay by credit card rather than have the hastle of using bank transfer, uk banks do not recognise german alfabet and paying was very old fashioned. It would be simpler to pay when booking rather than waiting until 14days before occupation so I know the booking is secure. They need to have more than one key for parties.
No internet No customer service
Its size and location. Easy to get around and the large park nearby was great for the small child that we had with us. Very close to the old square and access to the markets. Quick trip by tram into the black forest was the highlight of the trip. Beautiful countryside and the people were very helpful.
Some of the fixtures weren't finished i.e. the bathroom had no light and the shower head had to be held by hand as no fixed position for it.
The flat looks great and was very nice to be in. Kitchen very well stocked.
Upstairs neighbours very noisy esp at night. No indication that the owner lived in the building until the last day, which seemed quite unfriendly. No wifi.
The apartment was large, fresh and very spacious. It is located just beyond the edge of the old town and at the foot of Freiberg's mountain where you can walk along forest paths and overlook the town against the background of the nearby Black Forest. The church bells ring out in the morning across the mountain.
The key to the apartment was hard to use and perhaps the locks need some servicing. The apartment still had garlic and onion scraps left in a kitchen drawer from the last people which made the apartment smell and which we had to dispose of. Inside the kitchen cupboard was dirty with spilt coffee and sugar and we had to clean that up too. One pot was burned and greasy so we scrubbed that out too.
- spacious and well-equipped appartement
- parking space too expensive - not easy to find the courtyard
door to the apartment was glass, so lights coming on in the night woke us up
The Flat is near the city center
If you arrive by car, you have to consider some extra costs
Fantastic location close to the cathedral and the town centre, as well as Schlossberg, which could be seen outside the kitchen window. The fuse blew and we were without electricity, but even though it was Sunday, the office quickly sorted out an electrician to come fix the problem. The mainly Ikea furnishings were cheerful and functional. We made full use of the kitchen with ingredients bought in the nearby market. The Mexican restaurant on the next street seems to be always open and serves great food and drinks.
I would probably not stay here again because it has no internet access and nowhere to do laundry. The kitchen was a real bonus but lacking in basic equipment such as vegetable peeler, roasting pan, and wine glasses (there was one mini schnapps glass). More information needs to be available to guests: where to find breaker switches, location of grocery stores, Laundromat information, etc. The cd player didn’t work, nor did the main bathroom light. Towels were replaced during our first week of stay, but we were never given clean sheets and we were there for two weeks.
