The tub! And the fireplace i the lobby. Bring marshmallows.
The hotels resteaurant 'Franke' offered good food at reasonable prices, but for some strange reason the breakfeast was super expensive - it cost more than anything else on their menu.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is close to Train station.
Very small Rooms. Small Bath Dark rooms. Torn out Rooms. Changed room but not really improved. Not a Wyndham standard. Breakfast nice but too expensive.
Nice, modern and comfortable rooms. Nice staff. WiFi is good, especially in the lobby. There are good computers with free and fast internet connection. When we had some sort of trouble the staff was very glad to help us. Nice and modern lobby.
Well sound-proofed rooms - couldn't hear any neighbours stomping around or having loud conversations like my current hotel! Comfy bed. Good wi-fi. NIce to get complimentary tea and coffee in a German hotel - fairly rare. Fridge to put milk for a better cuppa. Good value price.
Safe didn't work and one socket no good. Not enough convenients power points esp. for kettle. Desk needs some drawers. Window needs better double glazing to reduce traffic noise.
The friendliness of the, the warmth of welcome. Fantastic location 300 Mrs from the zoo band of. Great eateries all over the city and Franke, the hotel restaurant is superb You must go.
Extremely convenient for seeing all the main Berlin sites, and very near a transport hub. Staff were helpful in explaining local transport system and which buses to get which saved on the tourist bus. Room was not huge but was comfortable and clean.
WiFi was terrible - unreliable signal and slow.
internet was a bit slow
- There was no reservation (booked by booking.com) when I arrived there. - There was no avaliable non-smoking room (I selected non-smoking on booking.com) therefore we stayed in very bad smelled room. - There was no free wifi - Parking price is 17€ per day and 2€ per hour - Unfriendly and impolite front office personel
Location, lobby, service. I was asked for my arrival time and the room was ready several hours before the official check in time.
There was no armchair in the room.
Last 2 days of the year triple price!!! 3x each night. Parking for residence EUR 17/Day to high
the free internet in the rooms is useless, every email takes forever to download. the water pressure in the shower is very low. on the first night out of five i was given twin beds instead of the queen bed room i booked which made our stay at the first night uncomfortable. every morning we were waken by the cleaning staff, asking to tone it down did not help, all we wanted was to sleep in during Christmas.
I found the property's location perfect for my trip, with a very short walk to the Zoologischer Garten stop on the S and U-Bahn. The Schiller opera house is also within walking distance, as are the shopping/dining strips on Hardenbergstrasse and Kurfursterdammstrasse. I recommend getting the breakfast as well, especially for those wanting to get an early start each day- the fare is quite tasty and the restaurant is not crowded in the earlier hours.
Rooms are clean, not noisy, elevator is surprisingly quick.
The room was very tiny, could be bigger.
Restaurant und Bar Bereich sehr schön
Zimmer viel zu klein
Location, cleanliness, amenities
Reception staff not very helpful. Not too happy to assist on tourist information. A hotel guest seems to be a bother (all friends had same impressions).
Free WiFi very slow and 30min. only for hotel guests ? This is very bad condition.
Five minute walk from Zoologischer Garten Bahnhofstrasse.Easy to find. Very modern style hotel. Nice cosy open fire in reception area to sit and have a drink and relax. Very polite bar staff and reception. Nice and warm in bedroom and very comfy bed. Had a superior double which was well worth a little extra space albeit not a spacious room but more than adequate for a five day stay
Did not try the Franke Restaurant for dinner or breakfast. Menus looked very nice but a bit pricey. Breakfast was 5 euros cheaper if you booked on arrival but if you decided to have a day later was 5 euros more! Had to ask for the bathrobe which was included but not in room on arrival. Hanging space for clothes a bit limited a couple of pegs to hang coats would have been good.
All the staff were very friendly and made you feel like a friend
Would have like a pool and hot tub. Otherwise perfect
Internet for money is awful thing nowadays (by the way 12.50 euro/day is the cheapest rate). Breakfast is not included, quite expensive (18 euro), but poor for these money.
Staff is very helpful and friendly, location is great in short walking distance to Zoologischer Garten S-Bahn Station, Kurfürstendamm is literally around the corner with lots of shopping possibilities. Breakfast is okay, but I would not pay 18 € for it.
The bathroom is a bit outdated. Especially the drainage in the floor is smelly and is making gurgeling noises when you take a shower.
The location was excellent and we have stayed here on three occasions.Although the hotel is very busy the rooms are very quiet.
The restaurant was closed on Sunday's which we thought strange. It would also be nice to have at least one English TV channel or movie channel
I booked this hotel as a surprised for my boyfriend's 21st birthday and could not fault it at all! The hotel is beautiful, in particular we loved how contemporary the bar area and restaurant was. Since reading recent reviews we were a bit hesitant in speaking to the reception staff for any local information etc but they were the most helpful and did their very best to accommodate our needs. They even printed off our return flight boarding pass for us free of charge :) the hotel rooms were also lovely, some reviews have criticised saying they are small but what space do you need for a 3/4 day trip?! It was big enough for us anyway and I'm a female who brings a weeks worth of clothes for a 3 day trip! Would 100% stay at this hotel again if I ever got the chance to go back to Berlin. Amazing City! :)
wi -fi poor
The room was compact but comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was an excellent German style buffet breakfast with a huge range of delicious hot and cold food and drinks.
I thought the bathroom may have been due for a refit as the tiled floor was sometimes damp.
