Very good,

“ Hotel Zehnthof has the same essence as the Cochem city itself. The hotel is romantic, cozy, clean, idyllic... The soul rested when viewing the river and the castle. Behind the hotel was the hill with wine grapes, where the wine festival was held. ”

I liked the location to town. The friendly staff and comfortable beds. The breakfast and warm welcoming feeling in the bar/dining area. I really liked the views of the castle, the river and the valley. There was nothing at the hotel that I did not like.

Quite nice little hotel on "the other side" of the river from Cochem, allowing a nice view to Cochem castle (from second and third floor, not from first). Nice, cozy and clean, good breakfast. Easy access to Cochem via bridge which is very near.

Staff very friendly and spoke good English. The hotel is in a quiet street and within easy walking to the centre of Cochem. Great view of the castle from our room. The addtional sofa bed in the room did not fold out so it was flat, but at a bit of an angle.

The price was good for a triple room...3 Friends traveling together. It was clean and their breakfast (included) was pretty good...lots of variety and it was fresh. Location wasn't too bad, just a walk across the bridge to the shops and restaurants area etc One night while in the public areas (internet access was not available in our room) a staff person (might have been the owner/manager) was making fun of us while talking with some of the German guests...he was speaking in German, not knowing that one of my friends speaks German.

The owner was delightful, spoke good English, location was nice. Easy access to whole area and food. I was there with my 2teenage kids and it was a bit cozy. There is no phone in the room, but the owner lets you use his phone if needed. Wish there was air conditioning or at least a fan

Great location, just 3 mins walk into the main town area. The room was nice and spacious, very clear. The people there couldn't have been more helpful, helping us arrange a canoe trip. Breakfast was great. All in all, couldn't fault it. In addition, Cochem is one one of the most beautiful places we have been too. All in all, a great trip

The hotel is close to the city centre and the river Mosel. Our room was spacious and clean. Some rooms are located in the new part of the hotel, close to the street and you can hear all the cars passing by. Luckily there was not much traffic at night.

Hotel Zehnthof has the same essence as the Cochem city itself. The hotel is romantic, cozy, clean, idyllic... The soul rested when viewing the river and the castle. Behind the hotel was the hill with wine grapes, where the wine festival was held. The host and the hostess were warm and friendly. A plentiful breakfast with a small glass of hotel wine (which was good) started the day perfectly. In the evening we sat in the hotel bar and the bar tender told us about Cochem. I sincerely recommend this hotel to everyone.

Cochem is a small river town with 100+ hotels. The Zehnthof is a small hotel located on the east bank of the Mosel about a block off of the river front. It's about a 5 minute walk over the bridge to the old part of the city. The hotel has a older part and a new addition attached. We had 2 rooms on the river side in the new addition. Views were limited but ok. The rooms were big for German standards, clean and comfortable. The family staff running the hotel was excellent and spoke good English with we did not find everywhere on our travels. They provided a birthday cake on short notice and provided a great breakfast that was included in the room rate. The kitchen was not oopen in the evening but there are restruants everywhere in walking distance. You may find better places in Cochem but you can't go wrong staying at the Zennthof. As with almost all hotels in Germany, no air conditioning nor fans.

The warm and friendly welcome was so refreshing, The hotel has no lift but the owner offered to carry our cases up 3 flights of stairs (but being able bodied 66 and 49 year olds we carried our own. No evening meal is served but we were recommended to use the Hieronimi restaurant popular with locals. Excellent food, wine beer and service. Our dinner lasted for over 4 hours sat outside on the terrace followe by another 2 on the balconies of our hotel sipping Mosel wine and taking numerous photos of the floodlit Berg. At breakfast the next morning we were delighted to receive complimentary sparkling wine and wished a safe journey home (the driver did not indulge of course). The breakfast room and bar had a lovely traditional feel and the breakfast more than adequate. The owners even helped us load our car. We are already looking forward to our next visit and plan to stay longer.. The car park is a short distance away from the hotel but appeared secure. The lack of a lift was a problem for one of our party who has a heart condition but she managed by stopping at each landing and since the luggage could have been taken up did not prove much of a problem but as well to be aware of. If anything the lack of a lift added to the character of the building.

We visited Cochem for 1 day & everything was absolutely perfect: the location, the price, the view from the window! If you get a chance, ask for a room on the top floor — it's amazing! Wished could stay longer at this hotel.
