We love this hotel! The location is excellent, the restaurant is top notch, and the folks there are so nice and helpful!
-Spacious room with great view. -best location for family with with young children . - the lady & the young man staff at breakfast were amazing very polite and helpful.
Receptionist were the worst I had ever seen, very rude to us .we booked two rooms for eight days, and the rooms were in different floors so we asked for two adapters and two iron & she offered one of each so I had to buy my own adapter, & wait for the iron. On third day I call reception for an iron and they kept me waiting in my room for 20 minutes to tell me later BY the house keeper "we don't have any available iron"!!!! And since all my clothes were crinkled I borrow the iron from the other room , and when the house keeper "cleaned" my room she took the iron out as if I was forbidding from using the iron !!!! I payed around 4000€ for stay and couldn't get an iron till the sixth day!!!! -We asked the receptionist if there is a Sunday market in Garmisch & all she said was "no" then we ask if there is any interesting places to see on Sundays she also said no. We found later by the lady who works in the next door salon that there is Friday market and there is a beautiful village that we can visit on Sunday . -by coincidence we find that hotel is offering daily free hot drinks and cake for it's guest & it was the reception duty to inform us about it since every thing is written in German .
What a great location, great view and wonderful staff. Rooms were immaculate! We have already recommended this hotel to our friends.
Great location, charming, really nice outdoor dining area.
internet kept timing out
Good location Nice rooms Quaint
Poor value for money Breakfast staff need serious training in customer service. Guests pay their salaries after all!
Great place, with caring staff. add a great room over the Zugspitze.
Staff very responsive. Breakfast very good. Beds comfortable. Restaurant was suprisingly good.
No a/c. When you open windows if neighboring room was smoking on deck it comes in your room. Refrigerator still a week away. So anything needing to be cool forces guest to access via front desk. Quite inconvenient.
Excellent in all respects and great food
Excellent stay, fantastic breakfast, friendly staff, great location
Clean , nice spa ( sw-pool, Jacuzzi, sauna ) , good breakfast. Nothing to complain. Spacious rooms , balcony facing the mountain.
A bit far from city center, not a real gym ( only 3 treadmills ).
Had a good time, nice hotel great for ski, in the area.
Super hotel and facilities and wonderful staff.
The Josef Knaus restaurant was very poor.We will not be going there again for dinner despite being convenient.
Just a great feel and friendly welcoming experience.
Nice décor, comfortable rooms, generous breakfasts, relaxed atmosphere.
Locations, staff was very friendly, awesome facilities
Loved this hotel. We have stayed in Garmish on many occasions and find this to be the best accommodation yet. A little more expensive but worth it. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. Great bar with excellent food selection Comfortable bed and linens Great view of mountains Easy walk to great shopping
The only thing I would mention is that the photos of the hotel room (Double Deluxe)on booking.com were actually the photos of the junior suite. Therefore, we were a bit surprised that our room was not a larger room. We actually thought the Double Deluxe was a junior suite. Unfortunately the suite was already taken for our stay. So the photos can be a little misleading.
Location was good, easy to find.
The décor was dated and the price was very high for what you got.
I have stayed here previously. A very relaxing atmosphere with comfortable accomodations and very good food.
Through no fault of the hotel track repairs on the railroad trip to and from Munich required transferring from train to bus and vice versa. The buses were quite comfortable but it was burdensome because of the luggage.
They need to change the towels and pillows in the bedrooms--towels extremely thin and old-pillows uncomfortable and flat. For not a lot of money, they could completely upgrade the "feel" of the stay.
Super location and excellent staff.
Very hot (unusually 36 degrees C in August when we stayed) - no air conditioning made sleeping uncomfortable. I'm sure during the winter this will be the perfect stay!
