Hotel zum Adler (Superior)  

Location Practical -service was good for the type of hotel. There are no thrills about the Zum Adler but there was a good choice for breakfast and the coffee was fresh. It is in the centre of Bad Godesberg I.E. in between shops etc.Plenty of restaurants within 2 -3 minutes walking.

Parking - there is a car park which is entered through a tunnel a few shops along. It is underground and only has about 8 spaces. Getting in and out was not easy especially if you had a larger car. On street parking is restricted. There is a larger car park 300 metres away

This was a great place to get over transatlantic jet lag, before my wife had to go to do some consulting for the German government the next day. The room was very clean and quiet, with a nice view onto a courtyard garden. The bathroom was very nicely renovated, the best of many similarly priced hotels I have stayed at in Germany. It has an excellent location with shops and restaurants, very well situated within two blocks of the db, U-bahn, and many bus stops. My wife took the bus the next morning virtually door to door to the dfg. The Rhine is about a 10 min walk through the beautiful turn of the 20th century Villa Quarter. The keep of the Bad Godesberg castle (the rest was blown up during the religious wars resulting from the Reformation) and St Marien Church make a nice walk in the other direction. There was also a Christmas market around the corner from the hotel.

Free wireless would have been nice, but the computer in the hall did fine for checking in for my flight the next day to Berlin, and other details. The hall computer does not have a printer though so you have to ask the person at the desk to print things for you. The hotel is a 50 euro taxi ride from the Koeln-Bonn Airport.

Keurige, maar beetje kleine kamer. Goed verzorgd ontbijt. Vriendelijk personeel.

Het hotel ligt in een verarabiserende wijk, waardoor de horecamogelijkheden (o.a. restaurants) wat beperkt zijn.

De prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding is echt uitstekend! Het personeel was vriendelijk; ontbijt was goed verzorgd. Onze kamer was erg luxe!

Le personnel était très correct. L'hôtel était absolument propre. La situation géographique dans une zone piétonne. La proximité de la gare de Bad Godesberg (bonnes relations vers Bonn et Köln).

Pour atteindre la réception il faut monter un escalier jusqu'au premier étage, ce qui peut poser des problèmes à certaines personnes (pas d'accès ascenseur au rez-de-chaussée). Nous nous sentions un peu à l'étroit dans notre chambre.

Die Zimmer waren gemütlich eingerichtet, das Bad komfortabel, das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, Das Frühstücksbuffett ließ keine Wünsche offen. Wir fühlten uns wohl!!

Die Tiefgarage wo wir unseren pkw abstellen konnten war ziemlich beengt.

Die Lage und das Zimmer. Es war ganz neu renoviert, insbesondere das Bad war sehr schön, Es war zwar klein, aber für mich ausreichend. Alles war sehr sauber. Das Zimmer ging auf einen Innenhof, war sehr ruhig. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Ich glaube, bei der Zimmerrenovierung wurde die Matraze vergessen. Diese war weich und durchgelegen und bescherte mir Rückenschmerzen. Beim Frühstück bekam ich keinen koffeinfreien Kaffee und keinen Naturjoghurt. Löslichen koffeinfreien Kaffee sollte eigentlich jedes Hotel vorrätig haben, und wenigstens 1-2 Becher Naurjoghurt.

Das Zimmer und seine Einrichtung (bis auf den Teppichboden, der für Allergiker ein echtes Problem sein dürfte)

Wer nach 9:00 Uhr zum Frühstück kommt, kann nur noch die zum Teil leeren Teller am Büfett bewundern.
