very nice staff, everything have been managed in heart
Good location. Pleasant owners. View of mountains.
Poor quality shower - poor flow and height adjuster was broken. Terribly squeaky floor boards. Beds that squeaked/groaned every time you moved. Very flat pillows. Not enough room to keep suitcases open unless they were on the bed. Having our room made up while we were at breakfast which involved staff moving our things that we would have put away before we went out for the day. Having to go outside and around to the front of the building to get to the office. Needing a key to get out the front door which I think is unsafe in the case of a fire.
Owner very helpful. He reserved parking for us. Room was comfortable and breakfast adequate. Provided information on nearby attractions and restaurants. Owner really helped us out with our stay with pleasure
No lift but this is normal for a small guest house
The B&B staff were the friendliest I've met! They made sure I had breakfast, looked after me, and was more than willing to go above and beyond for my comfort and friendship. Christian, the owner, saw me hiking back to the B&B while he was driving and took no time to pick me up and bring me home. That and much more! Would absolutely recommend!
The rooms were very clean and over looked the beautiful mountains. It was within a good distance of all the attractions and there were restaurants within walking distance.
Rooms were a bit small. Bed VERY uncomfortable. Said they allowed dogs. I even called to verify they allow German Shepherds (they said yes). When we got there, the lady almost didn't let our shepherd stay. She is terrified of ALL types of shepherds. She also keeps a close eye on everything you do. Didn't care for it.
Nice, peaceful accommodation with a good breakfast. WI-FI works well.
Good location outside of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, but very near tram to the Zugspitze, bus stop, and other attractions.
Room was very small, and we had to climb two flights of stairs to our room on upper floor.
friendliness good breakfast value for money
The rooms are clean and comfortable with exquisite decoration. It makes you feel instantly at home. The people running the hotel are very friendly and ready to help you. Another nice aspect of Zum Fransikaner is its breakfast service. There are a lot of delicious options that make you to start the day with a smile.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Charged less than amount quoted. Excellent Breakfast. Free use of bus to Garmisch.
Nothing at all.
Very helpfull staff, answered all questions, free wifi worked quickly, clean, breakfast ok
needs renovation badly, you feel back in 80ties :-)
It's a nice family run B&B, very clean and also comfortable. Free Wi-Fi is included, which is great.
Nice little B&B in a great location for a great value.
Good location, nice clean rooms. Good breakfast setup. This town is just off the highway, so you can sleep without hearing traffic.
All good. Nothing wrong with this place.
The staff was very courteous the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room had a picturesque view.
It is a family run. Lovely hospitality. Location is perfect. We will definately come again!!!
Friendly owners who spoke good English and gave me a good welcome and a room with view. The hotel is situated in the main part of Untergrainau and good for bus connections which are free with the local card given when you arrive
A charming, family-run B&B. I spoiled myself with paying a little more for a break from hostels and I got every penny's worth here. The room was clean, quiet, and I even had a balcony with a view of the mountains! The family was super nice and helpful, they even provided me with a Grainau card. The breakfast was delicious, I actually ate enough to last me until dinner. The family was sincerely interested in the plans of all of their guests and made pleasant conversation with me even though English isn't their mother tongue. I very much enjoyed my stay here and if it weren't for my next hostel being booked already, I would have gladly stayed another night!
Friendly family owners, Good breakfast, beautiful location.
The couple who ran the B&B were very very sweet and made you feel at home. The rooms were very clean and quiet, and had a great view of the mountains. The B&B itself was located two buildings away from the ski school where I rented my equipment. For someone who was going to both Garmisch and Zugspitze, the location and proximity to the bus stop (which could easily take you to both) was also very convenient.
Very nice, kind owners, excellent location, free parking right in front of the house, spacious rooms.
The owners were so nice and friendly. Before we visit there, we sent them an e-mail about our arrival time(our arrival time will not be within check in time), they reply us so quickly, and wellcomed us nicely. Owners speak both English and German. They are so lovely persons. It's located near to the bus station, very convenient to visit center of the city-Garmisch and also Zugspitze. If we have another chance to visit there, we will choose this hotel again.
Nothing, but you should bring bath amenities.
Super friendly old couple are the owner of the house. The gentlemen always goes outside the house to make sure we have everything. Before we checked out, the owner packed some bread for us to take away for lunch. The lady even dry my landuray and she keep tracking weather everyday! Very lovely couple. I still keep the photo with Gerhard. My husband and I stayed 3 days there and we have a grainau card. Excellent Bad free of charge and bus to Eibsee is also free.
If there's wifi in the house, that would be perfect.
