Location was great on a side street close to the main street, staff was fine, breakfast was fresh. Price was very good. I would stay there again if I could be guaranteed a room on the other side of the hall.
There is a bar on each side of the hotel and in the nice weather the crowds are in the streets. There was loud street noise until 3 am. WiFi was non existent, staff member told us not to bother with it.
location, location, location!!! Able to walk to the castle and to town and the square
Rather unfriendly staff, filthy carpet, stinky bathroom, lousy wifi
Very closed to main shopping street and restaurant. Very closed to Neue university where the conference held. Closed to Beautiful bridge and castle. Enough breakfast.
Rather small room.
The location was good & the breakfast very nice. The room was comfortable.
The hotel was very hard to find at night. There was a great deal of noise every night from 1 to 3 am which kept us awake
Location Good breakfast
Location very good. Close to old city square, castle, many restaurants, shops etc
Parking too far for oldies.
Just 2 blocks from Market, 5 minute walk to Charles Bridge and 2 minute drive to Heidelberg Castle.
Staff was indifferent and not very friendly. We paid for Wifi but our room didn't have enough signal strength . We could, however, walk down the hall and get internet there.
The location is excellent. Really nice hotel. Value for money. Better then expected
Great location in the middle of the old city. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine, standard German fare of cold meats and cheeses, boiled eggs, cereal and bread.
That I couldn't pre-book internet if I was checking in after hours. Surely they could just leave the password with my keys at pick-up and add it to the bill. It was a warm Tuesday night and I would have preferred to have the windows open but it was too loud outside on the street for that. Hairdryer one of those awful hotel barely-warm ones, mattress not very good
Hotel is in the heart of the old city and everything is within walking distance
There must be a disco somewhere close as it was very noisy till early hours of the morning
Hotel was on a side street, but everything was in very close walking distance. The kids never whined about having to walk far! Staff helpful and friendly.
Nothing we found to be a problem, or had a wish for.
Central location. Attractive price.
Hotel was within walking distance of main attractions. There was an elevator.
The floor needed to be swept in our room and we had to open our luggage on the floor because of lack of space. Only one chair in room.
Add ons-prking, wi-fi. My wife tripped and took a nasty fall, on raised floor, while exiting 2nd floor elevator and got pretty bruised up. Hotel had no first aid supplies, Ice packs etc. I had to go to a bar to get an ice pack. No concern about her condition. Just ignored it. No attendant after 10:00 P:M. Cold breakfast, not much choice.
This property was located just steps away from the main walking street in Heidelberg. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were small, but had everything we needed. One room, in back, was quiet, while the room in front was quite noisy due to late night revelers. We got parking, which was very close by. Definitely a plus as it would have been nearly impossible to find street parking that close. Breakfast was good and generous.
Not easy to get to by car, but once there, perfect location for walking.
Excellent service in a great location. Very happy with the hotel.
Great location right on the pedestrianised part of the Altstadt. Family apartment was great with kids, two single rooms and a double all with washbasin and TV and a large separate bathroom. Nice continental breakfast. 2 minutes walk to the castle funicular.
Quite expensive compared with other stays this holiday.
very small bathroom
breakfast was very good. excellent room and very clean.
no kettle in room
Most of the staff very friendly and helpful. Location is good in the old town. Nice view from the room.
No airconditioning in July is a big minus. During some nights, there was a lot of noise on the street (people partying etc), so even though the room was hot, we were not able to keep the windows open. The maid started her work really early, so some mornings we were hardly awake when she was already knocking at the door. Fridge would be nice too. Breakfast pretty basic. Toilet and shower could be roomier.
Gracious and engaged hotel staff, and a nice breakfast spread. The room felt like something out of a 1980s noir novel though, with ancient plumbing, a broken ac unit, and a window that only opened a few degrees. It got incredibly warm and stuffy at night, somewhat as you might expect. However, location was incredibly convenient and the concierge was very invested in making sure we enjoyed our stay. Would recommend for young travelers who are looking for a fun and memorable german experience!
Except noisy, otherwise perfect.
Next door is a night pub, so I ca not sleep until 5:00.
If you like the noisy place you are in the right place ! If your room is street side, you just above a night bar ( very noisy until all night long ). They know perfectly this situation but they won t say a word about it when you will check in your room... Just a shame, you must run away.. it will be easy to find a better place
I loved the location and it is so central. Lovely breakfast, and nice staff
Maybe the parking is a little issue but we were lucky we got a car-park in the court yard. Not so good with a bigger car as narrow streets.
We liked the central location, the room, and the breakfast.
Although the general location was fine, the places around it were the main issue with all the noise until the very early morning hours. Also the garage parking was somewhat inconvenient and a hassle to find.
