The owner definitely has a flair for design. We visited the whole of the Ahr valley while we were there, even going to Blankenheim where the Ahr springs from. Tip: visit Waldschenke Zur Ännchen (named after one of the waitresses). In direction Sinzig. The view and the cream cake are amazing. I’m undecided what was best. We shall come again.

The rooms were newly renovated, comfortable and really clean. Breakfast was more like a Break-Feast with literally anything you would ever need. It was really lovely! Thanks for this great stay!

We have stayed in this area for many years and after the flood disaster wondered if we would ever go back. However Hotel Ruland have certainly given us a reason to return and I am sure once the surrounding building works are complete it will be more than perfect

As a result prices are very high, but the place was full, so if you have to be in Altenahr book early.
