Score from 67 reviews Very good
This 3-star hotel is in the heart of Trier, close to the historic quarter. It is just a 6-minute walk from Trier Cathedral and half a mile from the Porta Nigra.
Score from 449 reviews Very good
Located opposite Trier Central Station, this non-smoking hotel is inspired by the theme of wine. It offers free Wi-Fi access, rooms with flat-screen TV, and rich buffet breakfasts.
Score from 282 reviews Good
This cozy, family-run hotel lies on the Moselle's left bank in Trier, right on the Moselle bike route and a 15-minute walk from the Porta Nigra and the Old Town.
Score from 571 reviews Good
comfort, deco, very good breakfast
no wifi, no international tv channels
room was nice and clean. Location was convenient.
The pillows were beyond bad. The free internet never connected and after walking down stairs to clerk after 30 minutes still didn't have internet. I received the email to confirm connection the next day when I was home.
bright large room in the renovated part. Lovely supper, excellent breakfast bufffet, interesting prices
poor bathroom equipment, only one small portion of shampoo, no shower cream or any other small bar of soap. At the restaurant no possibility to pay with Visa or other credit cards
Excellent location, easy to find, ample free parking. Rooms emmaculate, breakfast was first class, something for everyone, and cooked fresh !
receptionist was on telephone when we booked in, held it to her chest, directed us, then back to her VERY interesting conversation - we felt valued
The hotel was only a short distance from Trier City. The bus stop was across the road from the hotel making it easy access to the city. Free parking outside the hotel. The staff were very friendly and made a great effort to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was 6 euro and worth every penny, good variety of foods. overall I would recommend this hotel and if we are in Trier again we will be definitely be staying here. Check in closes at 10pm, so make sure you inform reception if your arriving later than that. J. T Ireland
Perfect hotel for a business trip, really loved their breakfast.
Wifi can be organised better
The owners have obviously spent a lot of money, time & effort upgrading this hotel to an excellent standard. It was very neat, tidy and modern with all a mature touring couple could want ... at a very reasonable price :-)
The location of the hotel was not the best ... close to a run-down area and industrial complexes.:-( The hotel is quite a long way out of Trier and was VERY difficult to find without having to stop and ask people several times as we got closer. This is not helped because the motorway & road network in the area was VERY confusing. I think that the hotel management need to supply some VERY CLEAR instructions to guests to help them find the hotel ... especially people who are not familiar with the raea.
Nice Hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and good breakfast located in the outskirts of the old Roman city of Trier, only 5 minutes by car or a 15-minutes walk to the historic city center and locations like Porta Nigra, Trier Dom, Römerbrücke and Kaiserthermen.
We had a big room with a huge bathroom (probably for wheelchair-guesta) and balcony. Very clean. Very nice hotel with helpful stuff. Excellent breakfast for 5 euro, it´s worth it. Nice backyard, a pub/restaurant.
If you don´t have a car, it´s a bit far from centrum, but we had a car. Wi fi didn´t work in our room, but we took the computer to the lobby.
good location, free to park, the room is very clear
The room is small
Hotel fabulous value for money
Room was okay, bed and cushion was too soft to my liking
Some hard board walls, somewhat noisy
Winfried! The front desk and apparent owner - Winfried Theil! He was great. Room was clean, comfortable, had a separate sitting area from the bed, and even a balcony. Well, no we couldn't really see the Mosel from the balcony, but it was a nice place to sit in the late afternoon. breakfast was great - not only the usual German fare of cold cuts, cheese, bread, and boiled eggs, but also orange juice, scrambled eggs, bacon. And very good coffee and a nice full two cup pot of it for each guest. Assortment of cold cuts and bread was better than we experienced at other gasthofs. Restaurant next door was not part of the hotel, but we enjoyed a really great dinner there.
not really related to the hotel - but we had to pay cash at the adjacent restaurant, which was unexpected. onstreet parking was available, but on a busy street, and in a rather muddy space since it was raining.
Parking, great and friendly staff, spacious confortable room with good bed, nice and modern bathroom. Simple but excellent food at the restaurant.
Wifi connection and average breakfast
Staff was friendly and helpful, our room was clean and quiet. It is good that there is a restaurant next to the hotel, so you do not need to go to town for dinner or a drink.
The pillows were extremely uncomfortable:)
The location near Trier was ideal. The room itself was large with the largest bathroom we have seen here in Europe so far. Staff was very friendly and with parking across the street and a decent breakfast this was one of our better hotel choices.
Nothing to complain about.
We only stayed one night, arriving late at night and leaving early in the morning. Easy parking right outside the hotel which was fantastic. The room was super comfortable and very clean. Food was great too. Connecting to the wifi was a bit awkward due to having to make a temp account with Germanhotspot on my phone and just gave up in the end but other than that was definitely a good stay after a long day of travelling!
Great staff, pleasant German restaurant for dinner and nice breakfast buffet. Quiet and restful.
